I recently had a very disappointing experience at this store. When I greeted the male staff politely at checkout, he completely ignored me, even though I saw him being friendly to another customer right before me. This is very unprofessional and disrespectful, and also potentially discriminatory. As a customer, I expect equal and courteous service. Previously, when I visited, the female owner was very nice and helpful, which made me enjoy shopping here. Unfortunately, this recent experience makes me hesitant to return to the store.
I was so happy to see John again after so long. It was wonderful to reconnect and hear how happy he is working at Global Pet Foods in Port Credit. It was as if time stood still and we continued our conversation from last year under the previous owners at Pet Valu (and my last visit to this store after new owners took over). He talked to me about a Canadian dog food that is comparable to what I am presently giving my little Daisy, and gave me a sample. I will definitely be shopping at Global Pet Foods Port Credit from now on because John is super friendly and so knowledgeable. What a great way to begin my day! Everyone here is helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I was moving my three dogs (14,11,5) to a Canadian made food from their previous American one and I needed a bit of guidance to do so successfully. Had lots of support during the trial and error that followed and happy to say it was a complete success. In fact, the dog’s coats, stomachs and weights all improved! YAY! Highly recommend this location and all its staff! Great advice and products.
I absolutely love global pet foods. Not only are they incredibly friendly and super knowledgeable, but they really take the time to get to know you and your pet. I feel like global pet foods really cares about the welfare and wellbeing of your animals. The products they carry are awesome! My dog kevin loves global pet foods!
Such an amazing and caring store, I’ve been going here for years and I love to support it instead of pet smart. If an item isn’t in stock they check other stores, even offered to clean a dirty tag. Thank you so much for being amazing, my two cats appreciate it
Disgusting service, the gentleman working at counter started off by giving incorrect advice on animal nutrition which he is extremely misinformed about. They didn’t have what I was looking for (not a problem) so I started to leave the store the same gentleman under his breath said “go kill your dog somewhere else” I asked if he was speaking to me and he said he was mumbling to himself. If this establishment has what you need more power to you, but if your looking for advice your much better off speaking with someone who is knowledgeable on the topic
I am presently sitting in the parking lot and the doors are still locked and nobody is answering the phone which leads me to believe that no staff is present even though the hours online and on the window say 9am. I guess even at that hour it’s too early for people to start their day... present time is 9:13am... will try the Clarkson location instead as they received positive reviews.
