Very disappointed with Global Pet Foods (Meadowvale). While the staff has always been helpful and friendly, I was very disappointed with a recent incident. On July 21, I purchased a hemp rope dog toy. Within 10 minutes of my dog playing with the toy , both the loops came undone, held together by very flimsy black tape. I took it back to the store within 48 hours, with the packaging and original receipt, hoping to get an exchange for a different item. However, I was told it could not be returned because it was “damaged” . When this so-called damage occur within 10 minutes of my dog playing with the toy, the item is obviously defective. I. was very disappointed that I was not offered at least a store credit to get a different item. Will not be returning to Global Pet Foods, despite my desire to support local business. Addendum 8/6/25 : many thanks and kudos to GPF Meadowvale manager Jeff for excellent customer service! He responded immediately to my concern and reached out to contact me. He took the time to meet with me, correct the situation and make things right. I recently moved back to Canada from the US and I’ve been wanting to switch my two cats to a Canadian food brand – we discussed the best options such as Boreal and Canada Fresh. Will be switching my cats over to Canadian food brand in the near future. I’m looking forward to being a regular customer at GPF -Meadowvale. Thanks again to Jeff!
I came here to get cat litter. Kiah suggested I try OdourLock as it had less dust and was the same price. Game Changer! Not only is it virtually dust free the odour control is exceptional! Thanks Kiah for your great and friendly service!
If I had my choice of shopping any any pet store it would be this one. I apologize as I cannot remember the lovely girls name, please add it to the comment below so I can edit this post :D. Not only is she friendly, but she always shares her knowledge with me, asks about my pups, recommends products that I am there to purchase and I take her up on her recommendations every single time. Her knowledge and advice is genuine and not a "product push". Go support this lovely store and ask the questions because she knows the answers.
It's always pleasant to be there with my dogs or by myself Sales people are very kind and knowledgeable! And also they carry the top brands, so it's not hard to pick a healthy product to spoil my fur friends!
Kaya or Kaia (I’m not sure which is the correct spelling!! Sorry!!) at this location is extremely kind and personable and very helpful! She gave us food samples for my dog and lots of reasonable suggestions. My dog loves the food and the topper suggestions, thank you so much for your help again! :-)
A very disappointing experience, not through the fault of any employees, but because of “the system.” Tried to return an expensive set of dog boots for store credit (not cash refund), unopened, with the store price tags still on, but could not find the receipt. This attempt at a return was made well within the store’s 30-day return window. “The system” would not accept the return without a transaction number printed at the bottom of the receipt, unless store employees spent potentially hours searching for it in their files (which I did not want to make them do). Finally found the receipt and tried to return but now “the system” will not accept it because it is later than 30 days. It seems “the system” is designed to minimize returns at the expense of customer satisfaction. A very poor choice. I can’t see myself buying anything there again if there’s a chance I have to return it.
Went there 1st time...saw older Man w dark hair...didnt say anything...left Came bk again...Extremely very helpful cashier...dark skin..forgot her name...gave us a couple samples which my Dog Loves...so now we shop there...seen her several times...our Lamp and Brown Rice that we usually buy was unavailable...so This Girl was Outstanding and so full of information...Thank You
