Had to make an exchange from a gift from Christmas. An elder family member purchased an item. Didn’t have a receipt as I didn’t want to offend. Went for just a straight exchange but they didn’t have anymore of the item in the proper size. Dealt with Veronica a supposed manager. She is AWFUL. Rude. Arrogant condescending and just mean. Having to deal with her makes you just never want to spend a cent in there again. She was so awful. Questioned why I didn’t have a receipt almost questioning like I stole the item. Lowered the price down to much lower then it ever would have been sold for. And kept drilling it into me that it’s all because I don’t have a receipt. I told her. I’m sure I won’t be the only one being it’s Christmas time. What a rotten experience.
Customer service is non-existent at this store! I walked in around 8pm and there were 3-4 workers in the store, no other customer besides me. There was no greeting, there was a tall brown guy who just stared and the others pretended they didn’t see me. I walked around and felt like I was intruding with the cold attitude. I walked right out, no purchase. Will not come back, such rude staff, no training in customer service.
Products are great as always but customer service is no longer a priority. This store is overloaded with staff who is busy chatting with each other instead of attending the customers. Cashing out I had 5 items, spending $500 and I had to ask three times, three different staff members how I needed gifts separately bagged (only two), and I had to point out myself to add some tissue for gifts in the end. While no one smiled and said thank you. I would expect better from a brand like Roots - hire and train decent staff who can be a little considerate for customers shopping for Christmas and could afford to show some courtesy and care.
On the door before I walked in, it said select items were 50% off, after walking in I was not greeted but felt uncomfortable because all of them stared at me after walking around and saying out loud “I wonder were the discounts stuff is”, still no help but when I go to approach a worker or try to make eye contact it’s next to impossible, after I start heading towards the front a young man came over and finally asked if I needed help with anything I asked him where the stuff was.he showed me at the back of the store in a small corner there it was and everything was either xs or xxl…nothing for me so I left as I was walking out I said thank you to the two at the register they both looked up at me and then looked back down to continue looking busy not saying anything in return. I don’t understand why there’s 4 people working if they don’t want to do their jobs, and to ignore someone is just rude. I said thank you genuinely and really idk why they didn’t help in anyway!! I will not be coming back here this is an outlet and everything is over $80! $100 for a cropped hoodie at an outlet is crazy to me!
Worst customer service. The staff is least bothered in serving the customers and would just rather chit chat among themselves. When asked if they have any 100% cotton track pants, they said they only sell 100% cotton but the tag says otherwise. When we told them we couldn’t find anything that’s 100% cotton and if they can help us, one of the staff member said we don’t sell 100% cotton and went back to their conversation. I have not experienced this kind of service in any of the roots store. Definitely never going back to this location again.
Very clean and very well organized store, very helpful, friendly and kind people working there, in one simple sentence, the customer service is just Great !!!! My family's favorite Roots store. Dorin H.
It was an interesting experience, one member of staff was spraying febreze everywhere up and down the aisles, one in each hand. Where the other one was yelling at them about their sensitivity to smell. Roots offers comfortable clothing, is more pricey then some of the quality should be. But overall a good place to buy fall or winter apparel.
