We have been taking our 5yr old standard poodle Ziggy to the same groomer since he was a puppy. He is, to put it nicely…tricky. Even though we moved out of the neighbourhood 2.5yrs ago, we have been going back every several weeks ti get him groomed. It’s far and inconvenient and my husband and I dread grooming day. We finally took the leap and tried another groomer in the neighbourhood. Based on reviews, I reached out to Tanya at Pooches and Pals and gave her a Ziggy history. She assured me that they had a ton of experience and would be patient and caring. Boy were they ever. I was anxious at drop off and they called me half way though to tell me what a good boy he was being. I picked him back up about 1.5hrs after I dropped him and he couldn’t have looked cuter or been happier. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Not sure why we waited so long! Thank you Pooches and Pals for taking great care of Ziggy ?
I bring both of my chihuahuas and I am more than satisfied. My one chihuahua is very senior and the other is younger and can be aggressive. All staff are so relaxed and gentle and both my dogs are fine getting their nails done. I have had nothing but great experiences.
I couldn’t be happier with Pooches N’ Pals! Enrique takes such amazing care of my dogs — it’s clear he truly loves what he does. Every time I drop them off, I know they’re in the best hands. I had a booking today for 10:30. I called to mention I'm stuck in traffic and will be 10mins late. When I reached there was no one at the front desk. The groomer was busy with another dog at the back. I called out to him and called on the phone multiple times as he couldn't hear me calling with all the noise. After around 5 mins he said he will be out in sometime. We waited and he came out saying I'm 20 mins late and he cannot take the appointment. He was overbooked with appointments for 10 and 11 AM as well. I don't know how one person was supposed to finish one complete grooming in 30 mins. Highly dissatisfied with the way they manage the booking. My dog did not want to get into the place when I reached there and when he said he could reschedule I did not want to try my luck with this place again. I called another place and took him there instead. If they did not have a slot available, they shouldn't have given an appointment in the first place. We traveled all the way and waited for him to tell he cannot do it. I'll never go to this place again.
I fell behind in grooming a bit since I’m in the rushed end of school and I needed help. Took him in for his first professional groom and he looked so amazing when we picked him up. Madi took such great care of him and did better than I could’ve expected. I’m lucky I like grooming him myself or else Pooches N’ Pals would take all of my money!
Enrique is always so kind and patient with my little Frenchie who hates having his nails trimmed. I think they are actually becoming friends. Thank you Enrique!
I came across this from Google and I am so please!! I brought my almost 15 year old Yorkie in for a groom and they did such a fantastic job. Drop off and pick up was an ease ans my dog wasn't stressed! I can't wait to come back
