TLDR: Be very cautious with this company. If you do go with them, take photos of every single panel of the vehicle, missing no angles. Probably best to pay the little extra to rent from the big name rental companies. I rented a car from them this past summer and when I returned it, they found minor damage at the low part of the front bumper which I am certain I did not cause. I didn't take photos prior to receiving the keys (l know... I'm a dummy) but when I returned it they offered to either have me pay an $850 insurance deductible or pay them $400 upfront for them to repair. I paid the $400, and never was able to receive an invoice like they assured they would send despite several calls and emails. A big red flag was when I was at the desk returning the rental, I saw an employee casually exiting the store and walk over to it prior to another employee and I going outside to inspect it together. Is this a pre inspection for the official inspection? Why can't I be there to witness both? I'm not going to make any bold accusations but that is very suspicious.
Good car rental with excellent value for money. Do not expect big avis kind of car rental but small team at 15min from airport. Did not had our reserved model but offered a good alternative. Car was good and reliable. Friendly guys.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience with Peel Car and Truck Rentals. Their service was outstanding—very accommodating, even when I was late returning the vehicle. They offered me an extra day at no charge and even offered home pickup! The rates are excellent, the cars are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is super friendly. By far one of the BEST rental company I’ve used. Highly recommend them, especially for long-term rentals.
Don’t rent any vehicles from this place, they are not honest people. Last week (8/2/25) when we went to Toronto for vacation, we got about 2 hours delay, we called them stated to them our problem and asked them to extend our reservation which we had made a month ago, but when we arrived they said, they can’t gave us the vehicle which we had reserved, then they gave smaller vehicle and hassled us to pay the same price with the bigger vehicle ( which we had reserved). Once again be careful to rent from this place
Terrible experience. Nearly $500 in hidden charges compared to quote from online. Waited 15-20 minutes for someone to arrive to begin the process of renting me the car at the pick up and was still charged an off hour fee (this was 6pm on a Saturday). Then came to drop off and no one was present despite confirming the night before. Still charged off hour fee (8am on a Sunday). Would never book with Peel again.
I recently rented a car from Peel Car Rentals. Unfortunately the car was not available on the Friday after I arrived due to immigration causing me to be late for the pick-up. Customer support did organise another car for me from another company, however this fell through due to the owner trying to pressure me into paying extra. The car was a 2018 Honda Civic and it was high spec. I paid 57 CAD per day for the car and GPS. The pick-up and drop-off inspections were a bit rushed, however it all went smoothly in the end. I would recommend taking time to mark the sheet with any scratches and dents prior to leaving with the car, even if the person rushes this part. Ask them to review the sheet before you leave with the car. The inspection is done before they hand over the keys (after all the money is sorted etc). I was apprehensive when returning the car due to reading the other reviews, however I had taken some pictures of the scratches from the time I was picking up the car. I had never marked these scratches on the inspection sheets. In the end the experience was great. The car was great. There was no problems with the deposit. The drop-off and pick-up were speedy. For the sake of your deposit, I would recommend paying the extra insurance cover. This guarantees your deposit back in the event that there is damage done to the exterior of the car. Even if you drive carefully, some passer-by can still damage the exterior when it's parked up or someone might hit the car with their door when you're parked beside them. You are liable for this damage to the outside of the car, even if you don't crash. Extra insurance was 75 CAD for 3 days. The deposit was 350 CAD. In future I'll definitely buy the extra insurance for peace of mind. This was my experience with Peel Car Rentals. This doesn't guarantee your experience will be the same. Definitely take the pre-cautions of marking the sheet prior to leaving with the car, and if you can afford it, get the extra insurance for peace of mind. Based on this experience, I will definitely use this company again in the future and I would recommend another visitor to Toronto to consider renting from the company.
Worst fraud guy I have ever met. We had reached an hour late due to our flight.the guy told he was closed.we had to stay the night in a motel after paying 100 dollars due to these crooks.i drove the car nicely even cleaned before returning .the owner,s son said no defect but later charged my card from deposit.also he dropped us at train terminal instead of the airport as promised.
