I visited the Melanie Lyne store at Square One today and was really disappointed by what I witnessed. While shopping, I saw a manager speaking very harshly to an employee on the sales floor in front of customers. The employee politely asked to move the conversation to the back, but the manager continued raising her voice. It was uncomfortable to watch and created a noticeable disturbance in the store. The employee looked embarrassed and anxious, and it was clear she was just trying to handle the situation professionally. I’ve always enjoyed shopping at Melanie Lyne, but seeing an employee treated that way in public was upsetting. I hope the company ensures that all team members are treated with respect and that conversations like that happen privately.
The lack of ML store in Toronto Downtown, led me to checkout this store (en route to an event) for trying a return. The store manager lady Mira was genuinely helpful! She made a very sweet exception for me on a return item - I was happy. But what she did after was above and beyond to me - while I was shopping for a replacement. I had left a speaker (in a box) at the store front. She carried it all the way to counter (considering safety), and had the speaker placed inside a large and strong ML bag to help me carry it comfortably. That was such a thoughtful gesture. And guess what, I believe these actions did influence me to shop more in the next days.I like them at the stores. However, I wish my experience with online support too would be this good.
I was looking for jeans to gift to my friend. I was just holding a pair up on the hanger and pondering whether to buy it or not. An employee came up to me and told me that the pants wouldn’t fit me. Obviously it wouldn’t but because it’s not for me. I found the interaction rude.
After experiencing very horrible, dismissive and pushy sales associates at the Heartland location, I came to the Square One location hoping for a better experience. Marcia was amazing and I'd 100% recommend anyone shopping at the Square one location to come here and seek out Marcia's support. She was not only comforting but had extreme dedication to helping me find what I needed and also extremely reasonable with the exchange of a dress missold to me at the Heartland location. This review is solely because of my extremely positive experience with her!
The staff at this location are amazing special appreciation to Donna and Frida for the support assistance in trying to help me find the perfect dress for my daughter’s wedding. The staff went above and beyond, thank you.
Was there recently...Manager Letiua was very nice and I loved her smile..i got a good deal...she helped me with the fitting although it was a little busy...very friendly environment
