Got officially scammed at 17:30 pm on April 22, 2025 at pump #1 after filling up the company car! I pumped 52 liters of grade 87 gasoline while watching the price in the GREY window, but got charged for 94! "Nothing we can do", "Come tomorrow morning when the boss may be here..." according to the operator. I wonder if that play is put in place by the operator, or the owner, Petro-Canada is in it, too. After filing an official complaint on the same day, I am still waiting for the results of their "thorough investigation". My advice is to avoid these scam artists in the meantime.
Such bullshit a 24hour service station and they deny entry form 12 to 9 am so if thoughs to come here and get snacks or anything for that matter save your time and energy go elsewhere or just wait
May 24 I went in to put $25 gas. I swiped my points card. I had a balance of 138,905 points. By May 26 I topped up b/c I was travelling far and swiped my card to see I have only 396 points. I was so confused thought maybe my points capped at 140000. I logged on to my account and seen that someone redeemed my points at a Don mills location in North York the SAME day on May 24. My card was not lost. And I literally live 5 min from the Mississauga location. 95% of the time I fill up only at this location. I’ve been saving my points since 2012 and only ONCE redeemed 25000 YEARS AGO. My suspicion is there is some sort of scam going on at this location b/c this will be the 2nd time as my credit card was compromised years ago and due to that I only use cash. I went back to the gas station to let the young lady know what was going on but she couldn’t assist, and advised to come back when the manger is in.Customer service is closed so I’ll call them in the morning. I’ll come back and update this review with the outcome! ***UPDATE*** A week after the incident, I spoke with the store manager who of course is going to defend his colleague of any wrong doing. I spoke with a supervisor and a regional manager from Quebec. Unfortunately they weren’t able to pin point what exactly happened and how it happened. They were more gearing to a possible security breach online. So they sent me a new card and had to update my password. I wish they investigated the other location and reviewed the camera since they had the time stamp of when the points were used. However they did reinstate my points. Have I been back to this location, since the incident;yes multiple times but didn’t swipe my card or scan it. Until maybe a few days ago (in August) I finally used my card. But I’m watching my points like a hawk.
Very rude customer service today. The cashier (young male with turban) threw my receipt and change, no thanks or manners. Disappointed as I come here often
I've been going to this Petro for 18 years. I love it because of its convenient location and because it's never very busy. The owner should invest some money and find a way to expand the main shop. Also, a vacuum outside would be a welcome addition.
I used the self serve pump machine last Tuesday and 2 days after my credit card was hacked. I guess the thieves are getting better with replicating the tampered stickers. The attendant should check the credit card reader randomly for tampering.
