Overall, my car rental experience with Avis Burnamthrope was satisfactory regarding the vehicle itself, but the initial counter service was very disappointing. The rental process went well. I was pleased with the vehicle provided: a Jeep Compass that was very well-maintained and came with quite a few options. I am entirely satisfied with the car. However, my first interaction at the counter was unpleasant. The woman who processed my documents lacked a smile and was clearly unfriendly. While providing my information, I felt like I was undergoing a "police interrogation." Despite presenting my French ID card and driving license (which included a recent photo and an English translation), she demanded my passport, requiring a third piece of identification. This requirement was never mentioned in the rental terms and conditions when I booked through Booking.com, which is unacceptable regarding transparency and customer service. Fortunately, the situation was redeemed by Santosh. He handled both the key handover and the subsequent car return. Santosh is professional, genuinely smiling, and has an excellent sense of customer service. In the future, I hope to deal with more staff members like him. Special mention to Santosh for making the end of my experience positive and for his exemplary professionalism. In summary: Excellent vehicle, but the initial counter reception needs urgent improvement. A big thank you to Santosh.
I have been regularly renting cars from AVIS at the Sussex location for the past several months and I must say the service has been consistently excellent. The vehicles are always in great condition clean, reliable and ready on time which has made AVIS my go-to choice for rentals. I would like to give a special mention to Sony and Swathi who has been exceptionally professional and supportive throughout my rental journey. Their friendly approach, clear communication and willingness to help have truly made every experience smooth and pleasant. As a long term customer I truly appreciate the high standards maintained by the Sussex branch and I highly recommend AVIS to anyone looking for dependable rental services. Trust me!! go for AVIS at Sussex and you won’t be disappointed!
Everything was great except the customer service. The customer service agent is very rude, answers questions with an attitude and gets visibly annoyed when asked genuine questions related to the rental. When I came here to drop a review, I was not surprised to find a bunch of negative reviews solely calling out the customer service at this location. Yet, there's no change. Avis needs to pay attention to this, it's not a lot to ask. Common courtesy and kindness are expected from people in general without an hourly pay. Will I come to this location again? Probably not unless I have no choice.
Amazing experience with Budget Rent a Car! Rehan Siddiqui was a superstar, going out of his way to help. Five stars!!! I rent from the location quite often every weekend and have always received amazing service!
I had reservation and I was on time, but unfortunately, the agent offer a Tesla car although I refused to take it because of the charging long time but the agent said there is only one car take it or leave it. The problem I paid online already, so I have no choice. The next day I visited the location to see the manager but the agent worker told me they will call me to change the car and this never happened and I believe they is no manager because he never showed up or call me. I disagree with this behavior and the service and never recommend this company to anyone.
Avis did a great job. They were flexible enough to allow me to upgrade to a larger vehicle that was available, patient enough to explain their different package, and friendly during the entire process. They've always gone above and beyond each time I have rented from this location.
