Free parking was nice, wifi was strong. No microwave in the room was disappointing. Beds were cozy, room was clean. Front desk staff were NOT very nice, it didn't matter what time of day- they didn't seem to care we were staying there. Bar/restaurant staff were kind.
We were disappointed with the front desk. We had asked for a crib for the room. None came but we waited patiently. When 730 comes around we call the front desk and ask about it again. They call back to inform us there is none. They are on first come first serve. We checked in 3? Who was there before us? And when were they going to tell us? Not about with that service but the hotel itself is very nice!
Since when do you have to pay for coffee?? Never stayed at a Holiday Inn anywhere where you have to pay for a cup of coffee. I have been here 4 nights and have had a bottle of water left in my room every day, today they didn't leave one. I went to front desk and they told me it is available only first night. Room service finally cleaned up my room around 6:00 at night...after I called several times. I would not stay here again. I spent nearly $600.00 for my stay and you want to charge me $3.00 almost for a cup of coffee? Won't happen again.
We used this hotel to reserve a block of rooms for our wedding, and they lied to our faces about offering a complimentary shuttle to and from our wedding venue which was 9km away. When we originally set up the block of rooms for our guests 10 months before our wedding we were sent a contract which omitted the shuttle, and were verbally told over the phone they would add the shuttle details closer to the date. Then 5 months before the wedding they told us there is no shuttle for our venue, and that they had never said there was. They also neglected to tell us we could cancel the contract at that time. We ended up having to hire a private shuttle costing us an extra $700. We later discovered the hotel's complimentary shuttle was going to a different closer venue for another wedding which was using the hotel the same night, which was booked AFTER our wedding and our original contract with the hotel. After following up with their guest services manager when checking out, and their sales manager on the phone later on, we were not offered any kind of compensation for the shuttle we hired, nor a discount for our own room which we had to pay for the night before our wedding. Overall displeased with the dishonesty we were treated with, surprised a hotel chain we trusted would do this.
Hotel rooms are nice however the services are lacking. Over 20 rooms for a wedding were booked for over 50 people. They said shuttle services were offered for guests to the wedding venue but we all showed up to find that it was a van that could only for 6 people and would only go 3 times. Disappointing to say the least because the hotel was chosen for this feature. Wouldnt bother to stay there again
