I searched through all of the Internet to acquire this one product, for some might be easy but, for me it was for a place rather unusual and conditions quite extenuating. Through many and extensive emails and calls, at distance, ScoutTech Outfitters personel was excelent, a five star experience, they were always available, polite, and extremely hard working and competent in their responses. A personal thanks to Darrell, that was a key element to the success of this purchase. I strongly recommend both ScoutTech Outfitters and their products from OSC for example to whom is interested in getting the best outdoor experience gear and support.
Driven by this place countless times and had no idea how amazing this place is. Extremely high end quality merchandise for serious backpackers and outdoorsy types. On top of all that, the staff are super approachable and knowledgeable.
Like a few other reviews below, this merchant is refusing to refund my credit card for the winter jacket that I ordered, but which is out of stock and that they are thus unable to deliver. I ordered an Outdoor Survival Canada winter jacket on Jan 5, 2025. After weeks of waiting, I finally got a reply saying that the jacket I had ordered was out of stock. In that email, they didn't offer me any refund, but instead tried to push another colour. I replied the same day saying that I was (unfortunately) not interested in any other colour and to please refund my credit card. There was no reply to my email. After a second email asking for a refund, I finally got a reply saying that my credit card would be refunded. However, it never was. After waiting another week and multiple unanswered emails, I complained to my credit card. I also called ScoutTech, and was informed that they will not be refunding me since I had complained to my credit card company. Apart from being complete jerks and looking for bad reviews, I simply don't get ScoutTech motives. Since the jacket I ordered is unavailable, they ultimately have no other option, but to refund me. Shame on you for some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. In summary, if you care about not being defrauded, then don't buy from them.
Like a kid in a candy store! I love technical gear, and I happened to park just outside the store. I had never heard of it, so I rang the doorbell, and like the gates of heaven opened up for me, lol. All the products in the store were very specific. They cut out all the fluff and carried mid-range to very good to high-quality products. There were quite a few brands I had never heard of. They allowed me to take my time and walk around the space. They had everything from gloves to hiking boots to bags, jackets, and more! I was not prepared for the experience. I walked out with six aluminum (safety) whistles and a headband for my glasses so they would float in water if they fell off. I wish I had these in Punta Cana. ? I'll definitely be back when I'm ready for my next adventure, whether it be backpacking, camping, or traveling. Thanks again for a great store! It reminds me of Hiker's Haven that closed down in Oakville.
I am so pleased after shopping at this store! I went in looking for good quality hiking boots and was very pleasantly surprised by EVERYTHING! They have so many options, they are very knowledgeable and helped guide me towards the best shoe for my needs, and they were extremely attentive and patient as I tested all my options. You just don’t get this support at the chain retailers! The store is packed with other great finds to outfit your needs while camping, adventuring and more! I’m so glad I walked in today and will most definitely be making this my go-to place for all my adventure and outdoor needs!
I recently ordered two Desna jackets from Scout tech , one in orca black and one in arctic blue . Both jackets are fantastic . The service from Scout tech was great there very nice people , the person who dealt with my order was a guy called Eddie . Eddie was fantastic and dealt with all of my concerns .
Trying to get my money refunded for an item that has not been delivered for over 3 month. Walmart refuses to handle this and therefor sent me again to Scouttech. The first 2 times they say they can't do anything but when Walmart gets involved they say maybe they can do something. Walmart and ScoutTech business seems to be set-up to defraud money from Walmart customers. Walmart has washed it's hand so I must fight with ScoutTech who have avoided this issue for month. Talking about poor customer service from both ScoutTech and Walmart. Will I get my money back? Stay tuned.
