I’ve used this service twice now—once for a clogged drain and once for installing a new water heater. Both times the service was excellent and the pricing was fair.
I was very happy with this company. The office staff were super helpful and got me a plumber to come within an hour notice. Alfred was amazing with communicating the issue and estimate price breakdown. He came back the next morning after sourcing an uncommon part to get the job done. Very thankful for the reliable and quick repair!
I'd been having a problem with my sewer backing up for more than 2 yrs. It wasn't until I had Rooter-Man look at it with their high def camera that the problem was found. During the investigation they also noted where the kitchen/laundry tub drain joined the main sewer line. They filled the laundry tub with water then pulled the plug. The camera didn't show any water coming from the kitchen/laundry tub connection. The camera did show water pouring into the sewer at two of the clay pipe joints further down. Upon further investigation it was found that the line from the laundry tub to the main sewer line was totally blocked and need to be replaced. If it hadn't been discovered the foundation of the house could have been compromised. Thank you Mike Mattine and your work crew. I would definitely recommend you to a friend.
My plumber recommended this company to me as he was not equips to handle the situation. I called at 9:30, the gentlemen showed up at 11:06. He was friendly, clean, talked me through what he needed to do and was ever efficient. I highly recommend Rooter-Man!
Service Technician was both helpful and knowledgeable fixed the problem within a reasonable amount of time, cleaned up before he left. I would recommend highly Rooter =Man
I found Rooter-Man took there time in explaining what was going on with my sewer pipe under the basement floor. They will be finishing the job for me very soon, they are highly recommended by me. So if your have big sewer issues call ROOTER-MAN. I don't have any photos to share but I do recommend them.
Short review: I would not recommend Rooter-Man for interior basement waterproofing. Long review: We had Mike Mattine come in to do an initial assessment of our basement waterproofing and came to the conclusion that interior waterproofing was going to be required. We had 2 other companies come and look at the job as well and Rooter-Man was competitively priced and they could start the work within 3 business days. We approved the work order. For reference, the work order listed the following: Protect work area from damage using tarps, break and dispose of concrete at marked area along perimeter of wall (approx. 50 linear ft.) dig down to footings, supply and install new 4” perforated weeping tile encased in 3/4” clear gravel, connect weeping tile to existing sump pit, fill in cracks in wall with hydraulic cement, supply and install DELTA MS waterproof membrane floor to ceiling, backfill, compact with original soil, provide concrete finish. Rooter-Man carried out this work in a professional manner with three large details. 1 - There was existing weeping tile installed that was not doing its job properly. One of the issues is that the existing weeping tile was not graded properly towards the sump pump and the tile would not drain properly into the sump pump. Hence we were seeing water seepage around the perimeter of our basement. The new weeping tile that Rooter-Man installed was not re-graded from the existing and so the new tile is not draining into the sump pump. We have had the weeping tile installed for over a month and a half now and there has been numerous large rainstorms without any water every draining into the sump pump. 2 - The Rooter-Man crew arrived on time and worked quickly however once the concrete was removed and the new tile was installed I raised the issue to them that the weeping tile has not been graded properly. (over 50' of weeping tile installed and none of it graded towards the sump pump) Weeping tile should be graded at 1/8” per linear foot to ensure the drain tile is running efficiently and emptying into the sump pit. This would mean a minimum of 6.25” of drop. Unfortunately there was no member of their crew that could speak English and all communication had to be done through the phone to a third party who couldn't see the work that was being completed. They did not correct the issue before pouring new concrete. Attached are two photos. One at the beginning of the 50’ run of weeping tile and one at the end where it empties into the sump pit. You can see both are at the same height. 3 - The Rooter-Man crew seemed far more concerned about getting the work done quickly rather than actually doing it properly. In summary, I really truly wish that I could recommend Rooter-Man as Mike was a nice guy and their crews were friendly enough. However, at the end of the day, the result of the work that was done has meant that the new system that has been installed is not draining properly. An extra hour of work of digging a properly sloped weeping tile would have had this review be 5 stars instead of a one star. The 25 year-warranty that Rooter-Man offers does not cover the cost to remove any of the framing, dry-wall, finishing and re-building that would be required when this system eventually is overwhelmed or fails one day.
