I dropped in today to ask for help in selecting some paint colours for a basement renovation. Janice was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We ended up going through paint colours that I had selected for another renovation with an interior designer, and she happily offered more appropriate alternatives that I completely agreeed with. You could really tell when a person is genuinely nice and cares. She even made swatches combinations for me to take home that were neatly labeled with her rankings in terms of top choices. Thank goodness I met her before our kitchen cabinets were produced, because once she showed me my previous colour selections compared to the ones she chose, I felt they made so much more sense! This type of knowledgeable service is why we always buy Benjamin Moore. Their staff truly understand colour!

I went to get some paint for the bathroom. They got the paint ready. Once I paid for it I was shocked at the price. Unfortunately they didn't ask for the trim I wanted and used the highest trim because it had mold prevention. I wish they had asked for the trim I needed.
Today I went to this branch of the Benjamin Moore company. It started fine with the gentleman serving me and I having a lovely conversation. He had gotten about 5% into my order when another man walked in. It appeared he might only need 1 gallon so I let him go ahead of me The serving gentleman did not ask me permission to do so. After I had to wait for that customer to be served I told the customer that I didn’t have to let him go ahead of me, but I did so because he seemed to have a shorter order. That gentleman did not thank me, but that’s nothing to do with Benjamin Moore. Then I said to the server that it might be a nice practice a responsible, respectful practice to ask a customer whether they would mind letting someone go ahead of them because it looked like their order would be shorter. I mentioned this to the server. He said oh I’m not as familiar with Canadian customs perhaps. He had mentioned to me that he’d only been in the country for six months earlier in the conversation, which was pleasant when I first arrived .He also mentioned that in his country the law was changing to be much more progressive and egalitarian towards women. Ironic, though that when he was faced with a chance to have a man go ahead of me, he had no problem with that and then use the excuse ‘I don’t really know the customs.’ after my displeasure, Upon getting out of the building unhappily I thought I would call the manager. He did answer and put me on hold just to see how long he would try to force me to wait . I suspect the server told him it could be me because he recognized my voice when I phoned. I waited on hold after he acknowledged me. I kept holding just to see how long this manager would force me to hold. I did hold for 20 minutes then I decided to give up. I then called repeatedly and 1 was sent to Voicemail repeatedly .. I will call headquarters now
We have done business with every Benjamin moore in the GTA. This is by far the worst. This Manager clearly does not care about customer service. The employees that work here are clueless.If you want the poor service (and the error in paint order)you can go to this store ，Even give me free paint, I won't go to this store again, It was a very bad experience！
Their hours of operation suggest they open from 8am to 6 pm. However, I came here on Tuesday and Thursday at around 830 to 8:45 a.m., and they were closed on both occasions. People were left waiting outside (at least 4 people combined, excluding myself). They haven't updated the hours or anything like that. It is not very professional to waste people's time.
Terrible customer experience from I believe the Store Manager. Yesterday, he was wearing a red Coors jacket (from what I recall). . He may have some knowledge but his delivery is rude and condescending. He needs to be counselled on basic human qualities, politeness and respect. After all, he is gainfully employed because of clients. Something to consider.
