WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE ever! I left there my Subaru to have a rear wheel bearings replacement done - the bearings got very noisy recently. Mechanic named DANNY. Estimate was $1000. OK, just do it right. Soon I received a phone call from him that the ABS will stop work because sensor wires must be cut. Not very professional fix, but I reluctantly agreed: can be fixed later. Just do the job. The next day the job was allegedly done. I paid 1K with debit card without a previous test drive (big mistake, but don't we do so usually at decent shops?), and tried to drive away. I found the car in WORSE CONDITION than before: first 2 gears very hard to get into, with great engine effort at high rpms, very untypical clutch slipping, persistent grinding noises from rear axle, and a few other symptoms. Basically ruined. Either the bearings replacement job was totally botched, or there was some unsolicited tinkering with clutch/transmission. Or both. I returned immediately asking for an explanation and was offered total denial of any responsibility: he refused to test-drive the car with me (of course he knew how it can go), refused to give me an invoice, and pretended that the only problem is an aging clutch. Total lie: the clutch worked ideally the day before and was relatively new. He did not forget to accept the payment, as I mentioned. General attitude presented: and what can you do to me? If it looks and sounds like a rip-off or a robbery - make your own judgement. I've seen things before, but this was really surprising. The only civilized way to deal with such a situation seems to me to get diagnostics done at a normal car service and submit an official complaint with an appropriate bureau. Conclusion: Be warned. Imagine yourself treated this way and make your own opinion about service from "All-Type Transmission" shop. All they can do right is $50 oil change. Btw. some positive reviews of this business I read are strangely similar in language and style - I wonder why...?
Excellent place. Needed a transmission fluid change for my Audi A3 and didn't want to pay the insane fee at the dealership. Went to this place on a whim and they did a fantastic job. Owner himself drives an Audi so he knows about German cars. Very reasonably priced and all the work completed was done very professionally
Fast and efficient. Didn’t have an appointment but was served immediately. They kept me distracted with the Globe and mail and a cup of coffee while they serviced my car. The staff was super friendly and answered all questions to the greatest detail. My go to place in the area for sure
The staff here is very friendly and thorough. It's hard to find a shop that you can actually trust. They don't tack on fake problems to your bill to bump up the price. I was totally impressed with their honesty.
I had to wait a couple days before writing this to make sure I am coming from a place of reason and not anger. This was an awful experience. I called to ask for an oil change and a bronze level detailing for my Jetta. I dropped the car off at 6pm on thursday and got it back close to 11. They parked it on my driveway and I gave 250 cash for the detailing and 110 for the oil change. It was late and dark so figured I would give it a good check after. Their debit machine didn't work so they asked me to come pay the next day. I don't drive to work so after I came back in Friday, I went to pay for the oil change. I was in a rush so again I didn't check the car but it looked pretty clean. Saturday morning I finally had time to put the mats back. As I was doing the back I saw a 4-5 inch rip my back seat. There is a oil stain from a leak on my white concrete driveway. So I call them up and they tell me to come in to take a look. They say it was already there. I never have seen it before but we end up going back and forth so I leave. I thought about it and I call up my parents who were in the car a week ago for Mothers day. They confirm it was NOT there a week ago. Again, I don't drive to work and I didn't use the backseat for anything so I'm pretty sure they did it. But I can't prove it so FINE. I figured I would not make issue of the oil stain how hard could it be to clean? I just spent an hour scrubbing with baking soda, vinegar, laundry detergent...no luck. Finally, on my drive this morning to buy a stronger cleaning solution, the windshield wiper light comes on. They didn't check all the fluids apparently. I never write a bad review unless it is an extreme situation like this one. The guys at Greater Toronto Oil Change were real nice, but this ruined my birthday weekend. I had to go back twice, spent time dealing with this hassle. Hopefully this is rare occurance.
Nice quick drive-thru like oil change shop. Easy to drive up whenever the place is open, line-up (if other vehicles are in front) and wait in your car before and during the transaction. They have a quick look at other parts of your car but you’re not pressed to buy anything. They will service more as well but with appointments for the most part. We’ve been here a few times with pressed time and have never been turned away or waited too long.
Originally had a great experience here. Have since tried to call to rebook and their phone isn't working. Also the car detailing company they advertise was unreliable and never responded to my calls. Too bad because their location is great and I was happy with my prior visit. Will change my review if this is resolved.
