During my visit, I found the front desk staff to be somewhat unwelcoming and rude, possibly due to cultural differences or personal life challenges or life perspectives. However, my experience with the Filipino blood work technician was a complete contrast—she was an absolute gem! Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care were truly refreshing. She treated me with great respect and made the process smooth and comfortable. Healthcare could use more people like her—compassionate professionals who understand the importance of empathy in patient care dispite the amount of patients to see each day. She has an angel living in her.
Had an over the phone appointment 3 days ago.. got a medication that was not covered was told by the dr if it’s not covered to call back and they will fax a new one. The receptionist was very rude she ended up faxing the SAME medication after telling her 4 times that I need a different one. Then told me she will not tell the doctor I need a different medication to wait for my two month check up. Place is ridiculous supposed to help you but they don’t care, only nice person there was the doctor however he didn’t listen the best when I told him that I dont want to do medication and just need a sleep apnea machine.
I’ve been coming here for awhile for blood work however I had two instances where I was left with bruisies on the same arm (right). I understand that for my case my veins are hard to find but I was never left with bruising. Between the first & second instances I was in great care. 2 of them who work there that have done my bloodwork were amazing. This time (2024) was bad.. Towards the end of finishing up my bloodwork when removing the needle, I felt the needle move in my arm as if it was scraping inside when the needle was being removed as if being rushed to do my bloodwork.. It was very uncomfortable.. I will not be returning here. Thank you for your service though.
Nothing extraordinary. The receptionist could be more friendly instead of being stern. Not everyone knows that the health card has to be scanned. Nurse who took blood was fine
The service was quick, fast, and easy. The location is very easy to find. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I will definitely go back here for any other appointments.
The stuff at reception should inform patients if they have already booked an appointment to show the ID instead of asking them to Scan OHIP card and sit and wait. I this lab but an improvement will make it better.
I've been here in Canada for almost 3 years and eversince, I've a regular client for various blood works and diagnostic procedures. I've been to different lab clinics (probably 4 or 5) and with no second thoughts, Med-health is for me, the best among them.
