I recently visited Tile Solutions in Mississauga. I had an enjoyable experience going through all my options on a large display of tile selections. Lily gave me excellent Customer Service.
I visited a week ago to pick up a few samples. While the front-end service was fine, I was quite disturbed by how one of the senior staff members—possibly a warehouse supervisor—was speaking to the warehouse workers. His tone was unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful. The workers seemed dedicated and were handling their responsibilities well, but the atmosphere created by that kind of communication was concerning. It’s important that all employees, especially those doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes, are treated with respect and dignity. I hope the management takes note and fosters a more professional and supportive environment for their team.
We ordered 2 different sizes of the same tiles for our washroom from the Mississauga store. When we opened the boxes we realized they messed up with the order and gave us two different models for the 2 different size. We had a sample of the correct model for both the sizes.. Attached are pictures of what we were supposed to get and what we got..When we contacted them on the phone they refused to believe us and said there will be variations since the sizes are different. Instead of starting an argument with them we decided to drive back to the store, from Woodstock ON to Mississauga. My dad who uses a walking stick had to take back the tiles. No, apology was offered. No discount was offered for the inconvenience of loading and unloading the tiles to our basement and hired contractors who came but could not install.. I am goving the one star since they finally decided to refund us after giving us a hard time about the return..they said they had no proof that these tiles were brought from the store even though we had all the required receipts. If u decide to buy from them i would suggest double check what u get and save all the boxes..
We went to Tile Solutions for the first time on Saturday April 22. The owner gentleman was very grateful we drove 45 minutes to come to his store. So much so, he even gave us a gift as a token of his appreciation, so very nice of him. However, the staff was less than helpful. Not one of the staff approached us and asked if we need any help or questions. The young woman at the back service counter offered zero communication and had no other customers at her counter. The one at the front was straight faced and walked past us a couple of times and didn’t even look towards us or ask if we had any questions. We asked another young woman about the samples rack and asked if they were organized alphabetically, she says no by code but that was it, no “can I help you find something?,” nothing. Quite a difference in customer service/appreciation viewpoint compared to the owner’s. It was quite disappointing. The store itself is quite nice, too bad the staff are not.
My experience here is mixed because they work with contractors and modify prices based on their working relationships. My contactor (James ellenor contstruction) over measured material very amateurly and the company refused to return the products, even though it was in brand new condition. Rather than recharge restocking fee and resell the product, i am stuck with extra material. Poor business practice. Will never spend money here again. Avoid contractors working with this company in general, alot of price fixing happening on material. Lack of honesty here To add, the lady (Tina?) from the office at North York called me after posting this review, not to help me with my issue.. but rather yell and scream at the top of her lungs telling me to remove my review instead of help me with a simple return. You rub salt in the wound and make my problem worse. My receipt has all 3 addresses for this business and not 1 location wants to do anything to resell perfect inventory. The sale was better than the returning business clearly.
Beautiful showroom with a huge selection of tiles and accessories, don’t even bother to go to Home Depot or Lowes, this place here is one stop shop. You can borrow samples with a small deposit.
As a contractor, I frequent this store alot… Just wanted to let everyone know that I would recommend this location for good service and selection in the Mississauga area… Prices are a little high though… : /
