I bought ensaymada and crinkles yesterday, but sadly they weren’t fresh. The bread was already hard, and you could really tell the crinkles weren’t freshly made. When I bought from the Don Mills location before, everything was fresh, so this was a bit disappointing
Tried to the ube white hot chocolate and was amazed at the taste and texture. It was a good amount of sweet and the taste of ube. I really liked the vibe of the store as well. Would come back here
Ordered a quarter slab ube yema cake, ube buko pie, empanadas, and ube tres leches. The ube yema cake was soooo dry and tasted like it was old. They also gave me buko pie instead of ube buko pie. Total disappointment considering how expensive the products are. :(

Birna at the pop up at food district (square 1) on my bday yesterday was so amazing helping me figure out what to get. Ended up getting the ube cake. It was delicious. I went with a friend of mine. I recommend any new person unfamiliar to this type of food to definitely ask what they recommend or what you might/might not like. The food is soft and not that sweet it is just right. I definitely will be recommending to my friends.
Purple Oven Bakeshop is a modern Filipino cake & pastry shop. It’s a treat to try their new baked creations including colourful cake with wonderful regional ingredients. The location has a small entrance in the plaza, and is shared with Marylenn’s for curbside pickup. Many locals seem to know the location quite well as they pop inside!
I got ube sans rival bar cake and buko (coconut) pie. They taste amazing! The crispyness, subtle sweetness, and flakiness all come together with these two goodies. They do round and bar cakes as well. Check out their desserts in any Bobacha locations as they offer boba cake, ube crinkles, and red velvet bars. I recommend you look into their menu and pre-order. You would be drooling when you get their sweets!
