I am extremely disappointed with this company, as well as with private schools that choose to partner with them for uniforms. The in-store experience was frustrating—service was poor, the clothing sizes were completely off, and we had to wait for over an hour with nowhere to sit since there weren’t any chairs or benches available. On top of that, most items were out of stock, and despite months passing, I still haven’t received my order. I’ve had better experience with HCDSB uniform companies.
Horrible Service. Used this company for the first time last yr. Having four years in Secondary School myself and having two older children graduated from the Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board, purchasing at McCarty’s for all was always a great experience. The youngest goes to a French School Board that utilizes this Killters company. Two years in a row the service provided is tge same…difficult …and NOT customer oriented. The school board should really consider switching to a company like McCarthy who have been around longer and have the service and clothing quality down to a science. This company ALWAYS gets something wrong whether you order on line or in store and always trying to sell you old stock when something new has replaced it. This time I bought two pants. They took them from the same bin but they belonged to two different schools. They never checked them and we mistaking my trusted the service. Should have known better after the first year problems. But how could they get it wrong? I just needed two new pants and gave them the size. It’s cause their employees DONT care. They get you in and push you out, but customer experience is not a skill they possess. Now I have to drive ALL the way back out there to replace. Soooo unreliable. Please, I hope they consider another for future years!!!! This company is horrible.
Be careful ordering online. I've ordered several times and I never get all my items in the order yet they will charge in full and not send out the missing items and I have to email for a refund. This time they changed the order noting that my missing item was shipped using the same tracking number as my previous order when they did not ship it and I did not receive it. Quality of sweatpants is also poor my 5 year old sweat pants gets worn out fast on the knees just from using it in the gym. I keep having to replace them.
Appealing online experience…They charged us twice for shipping and the sizes are way off! Terrible quality. I will tell our school to rethink their outsourcing to this company when their contract is up for renewal.
Very bad service. The are not standard size, much smaller. Return charge $10 + pay shipping cost. They like make it in purpose so customers pay extra for nothing. Uniform truck to school, this kind of joke as well. You need to wait hours to get serve. If any other place I can get uniform for my son, I will get from different place.
Today was my first time at DGN Kilters, Halton location. Our experience was phenomenal. The staff was helpful, informative and took initiative in terms of sizing my very big 3 yr old. Having a child start school for the first time can be an overwhelming, and nerve racking experience however the entire staff at this location, made sure our experience was 100 percent seamless and an easy one. They were professional and all wore necessary PPE which was appreciated considering our current Covid times. The manager at the store was incredibly understanding, relatable and an absolute sweetheart. Thomas, the team member that assisted us couldn't have been more phenomenal. All together an experience that I thought would be a bit of a nightmare, turned out to be a truly, fun, exciting, and enjoyable experience. The girls even kept the little one busy and played with her while mommy was busy trying to finish her purchases. Thank you everyone, thanks to you we are ready for school and look forward to our next visit! Keep up the amazing work!!!
I had an outstanding shopping experience buying many uniform pieces from them yesterday. The staff there was amazingly helpful to assist my son in getting all the uniform items he needs for this spring as he grew a lot this past few months. Trish, Lorri, Lizette, Darren, Jillian, and Sushma were super helpful and courteous, answering all my questions and finding all the sizes for me. I am so grateful for their kind assistance. DGN Kilters has an on-site uniform fitting and sale at UCC few times a year. I always wait until they bring their products to the school on-site so my son can try the items on and I can get the products right away. Hope the store can have more frequent on-site fitting and sales at UCC during the school year. I love being able to feel the uniforms at school site and I buy way more items when I can shop in person rather than online because if my son can feel the texture of the fabric and can try out the fit, I am confident in purchasing more items.
