It is wood-fired thin crust pizza, and it was cooked well, but unfortunately I found my pizza (the capricciosa) to be very bland, while the sauce was simply passata without anything added to it (no salt, no olive oil). I added some hot chili oil, but that too was bland. The service was fine, and the atmosphere was upscale. I will go back and give it another chance, as it is possible I caught them on an off-night. They have the elements necessary to be a great spot, but tonight, it just wasn't anything to write home about.
Wow we were really impressed! We ordered the roasted cauliflower, squash pasta with focaccia and a couple of pizzas. All fantastic. I initially scoffed at the high prices but the quality and presentation justified them when the food arrived at our table! We will definitely come back, even if we aren’t staying at the connected hotel.
Service was good, beet salad is delicious! The chicken was extremely over cooked as it was very tough. Was interesting having the dressing on the bottom, but was really good, more of a mousse type dressing.
Been here countless times! Get the TRIO sandwich, it does not disappoint. The pizza is always good too! Love their drink selection, something for everyone. Parking across street or covered parking for a higher fee. I usually do the ALT HOTEL parking. Great environment and lots of seating area even in the front entrance lobby of the hotel.
We were very impressed with the meal we had here. Tomato soup was very nice, Kale salad was excellent (and I don’t even like kale) and the Bay of Funghi pizza was one of the best we had ever had. The peppered sour cream sauce was delicious. Atmosphere was a bit sparse, but comfortable and quiet nonetheless. A nice thing to do before we head out in a trip.
Convenient & comfortable place to meet friends coming in or going out at Pearson. Had quite an innovative menu with thoughtful variations on some classic Italian fare. Freshly made pizza in their own pizza oven was a very good size as well as the meatball app. The description of the cauliflower app was irresistible, and although the portion size was impressive, presenting a half a head of cauliflower, charred black on the top and plunked into a mound of hummus (although tasty) left me feeling like a step had been missed. Atmosphere was fun and funky for a hotel restaurant with miss matched furniture, lighting and comfortable.
The food here is very good but pricey given it’s an airport hotel. And the service was fine. The charcuterie board though is not worth the price at all. It was underwhelming. The rest of the food we ordered including 2 pizzas, meatballs and sandwiches were very good.
