My first visit to trailblazers intrigue me because it was a health supplement for pets, I decided to check it out for the first time and spoke to Dave the owner and he and his staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and educated me on what is best for my cat when it comes to probiotics, I decided to purchase the probiotic powder which was a beef flavored and was instructed only a quarter of a tablespoon is all needed and my cat loves it compared to the other probiotic products this was a game changer, thank you very much Dave and staff for your help and I look forward coming back again.
I just had one of my best experiences at a pet store, ever. I am so used to going into a pet store and being bombarded with opinions and statistics where I find myself wishing I could just grab what I needed and leave. But this place was literally the exact opposite. I was kindly greeted by David who was just the friendliest human ever. He showed me what I needed and then let me do my own thing! The first thing I noticed was the NZ natural pet food company which I have never seen in stores— only online. As well as the Felix Flora probiotics!! But the reason I was there is because they had whole freeze dried green lipped mussels available in store. Most stores have them in a powder form but I really prefer them whole so I can crush them up myself. It’s great for me as I would exclusively order these products online and now I don’t have to! But the best part about this tiny but mighty store, is the service. Not only did David answer all of our questions without hesitation but he also expertly advised us on the rewards program! Where as other stores tell you that if you buy 12 of one product you get one free. Trailblazers uses your phone number to automatically keep track of how many you buy, so the 12th one is free when you come to buy your 12th product, organically. It is an incredible system that should be adopted by all pet stores. Obviously the other guys don’t care as much as Tailblazers does. But above all, David made sure we got the full experience. I was also added to the email list and given a 10 dollar coupon to use on my next purchase. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be going to any other pet store from now on!!!!
I had a good experience. I tried on some dog sweaters. I wanted a coat in a particular size and they fetched it from the Sherway location for me. They fussed over my dog and let him explore as much as he wanted. Andrew was particularly helpful.
Staff are knowledgeable. Service can be a bit dry. Other than that, I have no other complaints. I’m posting this review because I want to warn other pet owners. AVOID THE CARNIVORA BRAND. I am so incredibly angry and disappointed. 3 weeks ago, I purchased a 6 lb bag of rabbit patties for my chihuahua. This bag was stored in the freezer and patties were thawed on the same day for feeding. Mid way through the bag, I find ONE NASTY MOLDY PATTY WITH A METAL PIECE IN IT. I took pictures. Please note that this patty was thawing in my fridge for one day. There is no way that happened in one day so I know the mold was already on the patty right out of the bag. So horrifying. I switched to raw because I love my dog and I want the best for him. The mold was noticeable right away, but I am so glad I mix supplements into his food or I would have never found the metal piece. I can only imagine the processing standards if this kind of product made it through the production line. I will never ever purchase Carnivora again. Absolutely a rip off. This is not quality dog food. It’s just BS. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this brand. Do you really want to pay top $ for moldy food with sharp metal fragments I should also add that my last visit to the store, I noticed a sign saying they will no longer honour coupons for Carnivora food.. I would why lol.
Zero stars for not even being greeted or offered help although I was in the store for a while. I walked out. Not sure if you even noticed. Maybe bc you took the time to overlook me and help someone else . Take my business elsewhere
Amazing staff!! Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of raw food and lots of natural treats that your pup will love!
I had been referred to go to Tail Blazers through Tara at a vet clinic and she had offered me a list of raw foods based on testing that my dog had gotten. Just had my first visit at T.B and Katie was a huge help as the store has quite a variety.She listened to my dogs needs and recommended multiple things that will benefit my little fur babes along with passing on a lot of product knowledge.Highly recommend this location!!
