I went to Al karam Jewellers in Markham to sell my gold, and I already knew the exact weight in grams. Unfortunately, this jeweller turned out to be dishonest and fraudulent. I think the name was Babar or Bilal tried to convince me that my gold weighed 10 grams less than what other stores had measured, which I knew was false. Because I was in urgent need of money, I still ended up selling to him as he offered me $40 more than other stores, a big mistake on my part. However, the dishonesty and attempt to deceive were completely unacceptable. Please do not trust this store. Always check prices and weights at multiple shops before selling your gold. Most businesses aim for profit, which is understandable, but what happened here was outright cheating. I normally don’t like leaving negative reviews, but in this case I must—so others can be vigilant about this store and their staff. This incident happened during the holy month of Ramadan, which makes it even more shameful. I had a very bad experience here. Shame on you. It seems like Markham location is closed now, I hope they dont have the same staff or owner in Mississauga location. I will give Zero star to Markham Al karam Jewellers,

I ordered a replacement men’s wedding ring from Al Karam Jewellery, and what should have been a simple process turned into one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with a business in Canada. First, the price had nearly doubled in just two months, yet I decided to go forward to support a Pakistani-owned business. Unfortunately, the customer experience I received was disappointing from the start. The treatment you get in this store depends entirely on who you walk in with—when I’ve been with elders, the staff is noticeably more respectful and attentive, but alone I’ve been laughed at by staff members, which is unacceptable. The real issues started when I was told my order was ready for pickup. I arrived to find that the staff had lost the ring. They assured me it was safe with the manager, who oddly claimed he had it in his personal possession for “safety reasons.” Strange for a simple silver wedding ring, but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and left in good faith. When I returned again, the situation was just as unprofessional—staff scrambling to locate the missing ring while I stood waiting. Eventually, the manager appeared with the ring wrapped in a tissue. Not a box, not packaging you’d expect from a jewellery store—just a napkin. That alone said everything about the lack of professionalism and organization here. The worst part: the ring they handed me was dirty and damaged. After weeks of back-and-forth, price hikes, and wasted trips, this was the end result. Al Karam Jewellery may survive off location and treating customers differently depending on who they are with, but this experience showed me they are far below the standard of professionalism and respect expected in Canada. Best wishes to Al Karam. Unfortunately, your service is a prime example of why our own community often feels better to buy from non-Pakistani businesses.
