This place is pure nostalgia i have been going here for 7 years and i never had problems, its fun the pool is a great place to exercise and there really isn’t anything to complain about its great!
Horrible. Gym machines are old and weight is inaccurate on them. Need more squat racks and deadlift space. Basketball court is always getting used so if you’re going to hoop, don’t come it’ll be a waste of your time to come and gas.
STAY AWAY FROM THE MISSISSAUGA YMCA. Terrible YMCA location. Absolutely rude, disrespectful AND DISCRIMINATORY staff and management DEFENDING THE RUDE STAFF THEY HAVE. I have a PLUS membership, and I brought in a guest WHO IS ALSO A YMCA MEMBER. I always brought in this guest before MANY TIMES. A male employee at this location IMMEDIATELY FOLLWED US INTO THE CHANGEROOM AND TOLD US OFF IN FRONT OF ALL THE OTHER MEMBERS THAT THE GUEST NEEDS TO USE THE GENERAL GYM. Out of frustration for the way I was treated, I made a derogatory comment towards the employee that was harrassing me and my guest. I then get a phone call from the Director of this YMCA location and she LECTURES ME ABOUT MY BEHAVIOUR, AND REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE RUDE BEHAVIOUR OF HER EMPLOYEE!! The employees at this YMCA are ABSOLUTELY RUDE. The management here is not considerate whatsoever. The facility itself IS OLD AND VERY OUTDATED. The Jacuzzi is poor and does not work correctly. Many people have complained, and they don't care. THEY ALLOW KIDS IN THE 18+ PLUS MEMBERSHIP AREA. WHEN I TOLD THEM MANY TIMES ABOUT PEOPLE BRINGING KIDS IN THERE, THEY IGNORE ME!! Terrible service. Terrible facility. STAY AWAY FROM THE MISSISSAUGA YMCA.
The reviews were very helpful in helping me make up my mind regarding renting a condo nearby which doesn't have a pool. I won't. Thank you, you saved me much hardship.
AMAZING! The Separate Plus section is fantastic: towels, sauna, hot tub, coffee/tea. I absolutely love the Y — great staff, services, and overall vibe!
I love the Y, its so conveniently located in the heart of Mississauga and easy to walk to if you live in the area. It has very nice natural light, a modern building and nice staff. However, the gym section is a bit small and you have to wait a while to use a machine during peak hours. My other issue is their weekend timings, 4pm is way too early - at least make it 6 or 8pm. Overall, its a good gym in turns of convenience but it has room for improvement.
Used to be crazy busy lineups in the parking lot at peak hours had a bad experience with another member in 2019 who verbally abused my friend he was threatened physically. Don't care for the manager she just brushed it off carelessly went back Oct 2020 months post lockdown as only gym close by much improved more room and less people make it less stressful to get in a workout cardio machines in the gym downstairs now. Also the womens side should be ADULTS only children in there are loud unruly changing clothes in the sauna not to mention I found a used pad in the showers recently and no one dresses properly upstairs too much nonsense don't JOIN its uncivilized....
