Food was amazing & at an amazing price!! The man working there, his name is Johnson. He is the sweetest soul ever. God bless that man thank you Uncs!!
Small portions, overpriced, slow service. Jerk Chicken did not have any spice to it; tastes like it was basted in bbq sauce the day before. Oxtails were tiny and mostly fat. Everything has the taste and texture like it was old food reheated in the microwave. Very disappointing.
This is not real jamaican cooking. Too many complaints to list. i ordered extra large oxtail / beans from uber and receved medium, at best large oxtail. Not even 1 piece of lima bean was present. The smell was off. I know jamaican food, the food was boderlne spoiled. The plantain was not sweet nor soft. It was old and hard. The fried dumpling was not fresh. Seems it was reheated and about 5-7 days old. Fried dumpling was wrapped poorly in tin foli. Too much scoth pepper in oxtail. Too many complaints. All of the food was old and/or borderline stale. The seller should not be allowed to sell this. I asked uber eats for a refund. The 50 some reviews on google must be from friends and family. Terrible food.
Due to covid restrictions we decided at the last minute to have a small backyard celebration for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary this past weekend. I called Viv just a few days before, and she was able to provide an amazing feast for us. We had curry goat, jerk chicken, coconut shrimp, fish fritters, plantains, rice and peas, tilapia filets, and a beautiful fruit platter. We also had two types of dumplings, stuffed with callaloo and ackee/saltfish - every single dish was out-of-this-world delicious. The flavors were rich and savory, some of the BEST food I've had in a long time. Even the pickiest among us commented "this food is incredible". The amount of food we received was plentiful, after everyone had two plates there was still enough for everyone to take home some leftovers. Viv was super friendly, helpful and gracious. I would highly recommend her if you need to cater any sort of event. You won't be disappointed.
I found Viv's Catering through the positive online reviews and it was the BEST decision! During a difficult time to arrange a funeral repast, Vivienne was a delight to work with. She and her staff are incredibly professional, thoughtful and courteous. And, of course, the food was amazing. We had guests who flew in directly from Montego Bay, Jamaica, and everyone could not stop raving about the FLAVOUR -- from the curry goat, to the rum cakes with dessert! We requested that items not be too spicy, and friends that could not usually enjoy jerk chicken were really thrilled. Absolutely all of our needs were met, as Viv considered aspects of the event I hadn't. I wholeheartedly recommend ordering from Viv's Catering!
Placed an order for a bday party. Was able to sample before I bought. Great portions food has been cooked very well. Great flavour. Order was confirmed and prepared on time. Will definitely use them.in the future
Great taste, quality and service, owner is very nice. My kids are picky eaters but I've never had a problem when it comes to Viv's, their top pick is the curry goat. Tender, tasty, just delicious. I love the jerk chicken and the plantains.
