I love the upside down lattes here- they are fantastic! I recently tried their ‘base camp’ coffee beans however and they were terrible. It tasted sour and not pleasant at all. I’ll stick to their in-store lattes!
Finally got to check this place out while in the area. The space is really nice to do some work or just hang out. I tried a Flat White and it was pretty good. Looking forward to visiting again.
Horrible service by Asian lady at the front. She gave me a hard time about taking too much milk Pretty ridiculous especially since it’s “self-serve”, otherwise they shouldn’t have that available for the customers. Also, I asked for a double espresso long, and the cashier told me that wasn’t an option Of all the coffee shops in the city, this has been the worst experience. To shame me in front of other customers even though I didn’t do anything wrong is absolutely horrible. I won’t be coming back.
I would add my voice to the general chorus of reviews about Back Road Coffee Roasters.It is a delightful local café with great decor and a reasonably generous patio space. Given its location right across from the railway tracks, it feels urban, but also quiet and leafy. An interesting combination in Port Credit. On this occasion, I ordered a Cortana and my friend ordered an Americano. We also ordered a chocolate croissant, which, unfortunately, was a bit stale. However, the café staff quickly replaced it when we requested and the banana bread which we ended up having was excellent. My Cortado was perfect. It was smooth chocolaty and very hot. My friends Americano was excellent also so,all in all, the quality of the coffee here is outstanding. I am glad to hear other reviewers say they have good coffee to take home so next time I'm in I will certainly grab a bag for home brewing. An excellent coffee spot in Port Credit!
Love this hidden coffee shop. Robust coffee blends roasted in house. Great staff. Lots of pastries to enjoy a sweet treat. No gluten free options unfortunately.
Probably the most authentic and distinctive coffee around with the most mind altering blends that tantalize the senses! Also to note that backroad has become an integral part of the port credit community and is such a fun place to meet friends and enjoy watching the trains go by. Highly recommended!
