Amanda Garrett was an absolute pleasure to work with! She altered my wedding dress and did the most incredible job!! Far beyond what I imagined. From the very first fitting, she was attentive, patient, and understood exactly what I wanted, even better than I could explain it. My dress had sleeves and needed a lot of alterations and she perfected every single aspect of it! Every detail was perfect: the fit, the structure, the way the dress flowed… it all came together beautifully because of her skill and care. She treated my gown like it was her own, and I felt completely at ease throughout the entire process. She is the best seamstress I’ve ever had!! Amanda is not only talented, but also warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about her work. Thanks to her, my dress fit like a dream on my wedding day. I couldn’t recommend her enough! Updated October 2023: I couldn't be happier with the Mother-of-the-Bride Gown that Amanda made for me. I felt like a million dollars in it! I received so many compliments on the day of the wedding and afterwards too. In every discussion and visit, Amanda listened intently to me, making sense of my jumbled thoughts and determined to give me exactly what I was after. At every fitting, she made adjustments and refinements in response to my feedback until I was completely satisfied. And she heard me loud and clear each time I spoke of my hang-ups, making sure to not only address them but to "quiet" them too. I wanted to look & feel stylishly beautiful and Amanda delivered! I felt so proud to wear this beautiful gown on my daughter's special day, a gown that was enhanced by the large, lovely floral brooch that Amanda crafted for me from the hand-made florals pulled from my own wedding dress (originally made by the bride's grandmother). Original post from July 2023: From a vintage 1990 wedding dress originally handcrafted by the grandmother of the bride-to-be, Amanda created some very special pieces: a Bouquet Wrap, several pieces of Pew Décor, and a Floral Brooch. Amanda listened attentively as I explained what I wanted to have created for my daughter, turning these ideas into reality within a few weeks. Her keen attention to detail and careful handling of the original dress was greatly appreciated, ensuring no unnecessary dismantling was done to the remaining components; this allowed for them to be safely stored away once more, possibly for use again in future. The reconstructed pieces are truly special and will be cherished on the wedding day and beyond, carrying so much sentimental value. The bride-to-be’s grandmother was very pleased with the outcome and truly moved, as were all family and friends. Kudos to Amanda! I highly recommend her services.
I met Amanda on Instagram shortly after I got engaged in 2018, fast forward a few years there came COVID then shortly followed by my car accident. Through it all Amanda still stayed in contact with me and finally when I found my dress I made an appointment with her to finally have her work her magic on my dress. Amanda was able to take the vision I had for the sleeves on my dress and make it into something better even with my poor explanation. When the final fitting came I was truly blown away and felt so beautiful in it, she truly had made it my dress! Amanda worked on 2 of my bridesmaids dresses as well as my moms dress too. Everyone was truly amazed and pleased at Amanda’s work! Hands down will be definitely recommending Amanda to all my friends who will be getting married!
