Ok so Ive been coming here for years and have never reviewed! this place is an absolute must try if you want authentic delicious Colombian or Latin American food. I have Colombian background and this is not an exaggeration we literally never go to the other Colombian restaurants other than this one. The quality is just superb! Hopefully they never change the chefs or the management !!
A very friendly man greeted us and helped us with our menu selection. Food arrived quickly, was plentiful and delicious. This place is heavy on meat so don't take your vegetarian friends. Also don't expect a light meal. The empandas were fantastic, as was the service. Only thing I wished for were some veggies or salad with my meal. I love their rice and beans but then you don't get salad. For real meat lovers.
While we stayed at Mississauga, we went to this restaurant to have lunch, and I have to tell that it has been the best Colombian food we have had in Canada. We dont have a restaurant with that quality of food in Ottawa. The only complaint I have is that they dont take credit cards. At the very 2018 is very inconvenient to go a place and find out that they dont take credit cards. I told the lady at the cashier this didnt even happen to me in Colombia, and her answer was whats the difference?, so I replied were in Canada, a country where credit cards are taken everywhere, she answered well, dont you think the owners have the right to manage their business as they like?, to which I replied, yes, I totally agree but, they should adapt to this countrys market. She murmured something else but I didnt want to continue the discussion. This lady should be carful with her mouth, she should understand that the client is always right, even if hes not. If it wouldnt have been for this incident, I would have given 5 stars.
Nice food, nice service, good prices
Been here multiple times and food is always good. Every time we go they never seem to have morcilla (blood sausage) but i think they tend to sell out in the morning. Place is small and in a dingy area but dont let that discourage you the staff is friendly and will explain if you have questions. Food is very authentic and well priced. The bandeja paisa is a must try it has a bit of everything.
