PLEASE READ BEFORE USING THIS SERVICE. Terrible customer service from this property management. The ongoing failure by Royal York Property Management to resolve an incorrect charge applied to my account for a cleaning service that was never performed. Which is considered fraud. Despite numerous calls , emails and follow-ups, I have received no resolution. I was explicitly told my refund would be issued in May; it is now August 27, and no refund has been processed nor has any substantive update been provided. This prolonged inaction and lack of accountability is unacceptable and reflects serious deficiencies in your company’s operations. From the outset, my experience with Royal York has been unsatisfactory, and this matter confirms that this is the poorest level of service I have ever received from a property management company.
Weren’t able to rent out my unit and are harassing me about payment. Made up a reason “couldnt get photos of the unit” as justification for putting the contract on hold even though they had access to the unit and did showings
They located me a good tenant but the main issue I had is I had 3 changes in account manager. There seems to be no accountability within organization. I negotiated $50 discount on setup fee with Edi. Then he was no longer managing my account and Valmira acknowledged this and said accounting will do it but more then a month has passed and she doesn't even return my calls anymore. The lockbox is still on my property and I have notified it to be taken away. They did the job right for me but these things leave sour taste and I am not happy that no one is taking ownership of these issues. I tried a lot to reach out but no responses.
I want to say Thank you to royal York and Erblin for helping me and my partner find a place . It was a difficult process for us as we have a unique situation . Royal York committed to helping us find a place in less than a week that’ meets our budget . They were patient with us and very communicative. I will be using them again for future apartment hunting
Beware students and landlords If you once stuck in any of deal without reading any documentation or under any circumstance to make process fast you really gonna regret as I felt . No one respect your time and also reply your calls All auto generated emails according to them has clause “” it can breach of contract or lease “ They don’t provide accurate information. Before make sign on any contract or application must read all document specifically on last part don’t pay them any amount before completion of any details. They don’t even provide you landlord contact details. Administration staff and leasing agents always put some obligation to mislead you . Landlords must not sign any documents before meeting tenants. Always ask for all clear document list before pay them anything or sign any offer of lease and application Also clear about tenants insurance utilities payments and their admin fee or verification fee . They charge from both parties as verification fee from tenants and 1st month rent + HST from landlord.
Absolute scammers. Never even let these people set foot in your door. They will trap you in legals T&C's in their contract and you will have no recourse but to pay to get out of sneaky contract conditions. Happened with us. The agent falsely represneted the terms and conditions verbally (never mentioned owners obligation to pay 1 month rent plus HST to get out of the agreement to lease or even for rejecting an offer to lease if you as an owner don't like the tenants they bring in). They don't answer calls or emails. They under price your property and then have another sneaky clause that they can further reduce the property price by 5% without consulting the owner. NEVER sign anything with them.
