Purchased a new Fender Player Plus Stratocaster in Tequila Sunrise finish from these folks via Reverb.com. Guitar arrived in perfect shape and properly set up, ready to play out of the box! And it felt great too! I'm in love with the finish, and I the folks at Excel did a spectacular job w/ responsive customer support, packaging, etc. ... The only issue I had–and I won't even dock a star for this, since I'm not sure if there is a solution–is that that the plastic film on the pickguard was still still present. It couldn't be removed without unscrewing the pickguard and removing the strings... Which couldn't be re-installed properly because the guitar used locking tuners. Unfortunately, this meant buying new strings and having to set the guitar up again, destroying the great work they did with the initial set up.
Bought a guitar from Excel, staff was prompt in their replies and helpful with their advice. I purchased on line, delivery was fast and free. I'll be checking Excel Music if I'm in the market for something else musical.
Was walking saying Heartland area and stumbled upon this gem! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by Benjamin and Zafer. And most of all, they arguably have the BEST PRICS in the market, a Player One Fender Strat for only $899!? This is the best priced strat I’ve found yet throughout the years!
I had been searching for a new Fender bass when I came across Excel Music Group online. I wanted to try the bass in person before buying it, so I made the drive out to the store. They have an impressive selection of instruments, including models that are often sold out at other stores. On top of that, their in-store deals on top brands like Fender and Taylor are hard to beat. What really made my experience great was Benjamin. Even in the middle of the biggest snowstorm in the last two years, he was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. He went above and beyond to make sure I found exactly what I was looking for. If you’re in Toronto, it’s well worth the trip for great service, great prices, and a no-pressure shopping experience. Highly recommend!
My partner and I came in today to look at a Fender precision bass, and we were really wow-ed by our experience here! During one of the biggest snow storms in the last few years, we make the trek out from downtown Toronto to check out a particular Fender my partner has been searching for. Not only did they have the Fender in stock (and it mint condition), but we were also so impressed by the care and dedication Benjamin took in answering any questions we had, preparing the bass, and really going above and beyond for us. We left so impressed and will definitely be back!

Benjamin Chan who I spoke to before going, had the guitar and case ready when I arrived, and spent a great deal of time examinig the guitar, adjusting the machine screws, polishing the body and fret board, and answering any questions I had before I made the purchase. He was courteous, extremely knowledgeable about Taylor guitars, the skills of Luthiering, and is an excellent musician who showed me what this guitar is capable of with his playing skill. Excel offers a 15% in-house discount on Taylor guitars, an added inducement to drive to Mississauga. My experience was first-rate, and I would ecommend Excel without reservation to anyone looking to purchase a guitar.
