Fun agility was a great class for our dog to be introduced to basic agility. Joanne broke things down into very manageable steps. Fun and good learning for the dogs.
I have chosen The Dog Stop obedience program because it was close to where I live and the most affordable. Now, when the program is over, I am definitely coming back for their quality! Most of the time the instructor looked like wizards to me: they knew exactly what to do to make our unruly puppies or traumatized and reactive mature dogs do the trick or obey a command. And I was very happy not to listen about "dominating" or "being an alpha of the pack" to make your dog obey. The instructors kept speaking about "trust", "bond" or "relationship" - these are the only things my poor shy reactive (but we are still in training :-)) Tabitha needs to make great progress! Thank you, ladies! We'll be back!
This place is mediocre at best, the place spells horrible which makes me wonder how often and how they clean the place. And the workers are trying to sell you their collars and leashes constantly my making you use it for training and then saying “This would be great for your dog” and forcing it on you.
I been Dealing with chronic lower spinal pain for over 15 years and after 4 session my pain has subsided and only my traps r left to work on and minor leg pain I’m glad i finally Took the step to do this
I wrote another review a few years ago but I just wanted to say that I still love the place! I have two dogs and a foster dog that go to daycare and my dogs do advanced agility. I highly recommend it. I know they are safe and happy when they come here and that they will be nice and tired when they get home :)
Great place to get your dog trained. My girlfriend and I took our 5 month old puppy for basic training, and Arlene (the trainer) was fantastic. She was an excellent communicator and taught us everything we needed to know on how to train ourselves and our pup. The difference between our dog going into the training and now that we've finished it are night and day. I know they also offer social classes (to meet other dogs and dog owners and go for group walks) and agility classes (train your dog to run obstacle course things) for more advanced training that we haven't done yet, but would love to in the future. Arlene's training style is very effective and not cruel to the dog. No shouting or chain/choke collars. She also taught us how to avoid certain things that cause stress or fear in dogs, and how to train the dog to overcome those so they are more calm and loving without being super hyper or aggressive. I would recommend this to any dog owner!
Great facility, offering many different services for you and your dog! I had the chance to attend a few seminars and certifications at The Dog Stop, and my dogs had a great time while attending with me. Arlene, the owner, has been in this business for a long time and I can only admire her dedication and love for the dogs. Highly recommend!
