Fuzion Banquets, located at 1300 Britannia Rd. E., was inspected April 25. According to Peel Region, inspection results were: Did operator provide a supply of potable hot and cold running water under pressure? — not in compliance Did operator provide a mechanical dishwasher that is properly constructed, designed and maintained, or a dishwasher that is approved by NSF International for commercial use? — not in compliance Did operator provide sufficient level of lighting? — not in compliance Did operator take adequate measures to maintain food premises in a condition that prevent harbourage or breeding of pests? (Critical risk) — not in compliance Is at least one food handler/supervisor with valid food handler certification present on-site during every hour of operation? — not in compliance
The pictures of the hall are not current. The hall looked run down when I visited early 2025, not sure if there were any improvements since then. No official signs outside, it doesn't feel like you're at a Banquet hall. The only way you know you arrived is by GPS. I decided to go with them for budget reasons. My issues were things that Ali spoke about and or promised was not reflected in the contract that I received 3 days later. I asked for clarification through email, text messages and phone calls. Ali told me he was busy and that he would call me back, he never did. A week later I messaged him to ask for my deposit back due to the discrepancies from our initial meeting to what the contract stated. He did not respond to any of my communications since then. I asked him for at least a portion of the deposit back. Ali could have agreed to even give back half of the money based on the reasons why I asked. This situation was handled poorly and I am very disappointed. My advice for those considering this hall is to wait for the official contract before giving a down payment. I will never make this mistake again! Good luck!
Open bar review I recently attended this banquet and was extremely disappointed with the service at the open bar. My first drink encounter was frustrating; the bartender complained about a lack of cups and insisted I use my own for a refill, blankly saying no for asking for a drink at the open bar even though I didn’t have a cup and it was my first drink, which shouldn’t even matter since there job is to serve the guest drinks at the open bar and not wrongfully refuse service. I also noticed after telling them I didn’t have a cup prior, washing and reusing cups behind the bar, which was completely off-putting and was obvious since all the solo cups were wet inside. Completely disgusting, illegal and unsanitary. When I requested a Smirnoff Ice, they claimed they didn’t have any, despite seeing several on the counter. After I pointed it out, they begrudgingly handed one over but then hid the rest. The alcohol is paid and meant to be served to the guest of the people who spent so much money hosting the party. To hide drinks clearing giving the impression you don’t want to wait for people to drink it and can’t wait to go home, shouldn’t be taken out on the guest. Overall, the bartenders seemed uninterested in serving guests and often complained. Completely rude and didn’t even try to hide it with there expressions and words. This experience significantly detracted from the evening. I would not recommend this venue for an event with an open bar. The place is nice but advice to the owners, hire staff who actually know what their job is, knows how to do it, and who aren’t miserable doing it. Hall is beautiful but drinks are a main factor to a party so it’s a shame the workers were awful. Completely ruined my experience and probably many more.
We hosted a Nigerian Independence Gala event with over 160 guests at this venue on Saturday, October 5, 2024, and we had an amazing time. Mr. Funmi gave us an affordable quote and him and his staff were helpful and assisted us with various aspects of our event. All our guests enjoyed themselves and the food was great. We will consider using this venue for future events. Thank you! :)
Went for an event. The event was lovely and the attendees were topnotch. The location is in need of some renovations and a face-lift. Some maintenance will bring it up to par quickly.
Wonderful place for weddings and all other social events. The owner is very friendly, he goes above and beyond to make the night a special one. The hall is well designed that you do not need to bring your own decorations, atleast that's how we felt. I will definitely use this space again.
We attended 2 functions at this hall. The staff was very sweet and sincere and went above and beyond to accommodate the guests. Food was creative, unique and flavorful. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend for functions!
