These guys have the worst customer service!!! If you can, avoid this place!!! She changed her working hours without updating her voicemail… Got there, there were close to 10 people by the door… I could clearly see everyone including Smiley… Watched her tell them to ignore me that when I will leave when I get tired!!! That’s a horrible way of treating her customers!!!!
IF I COULD HAVE PUT NO STARS I WOULD! I bought 3 pounds of hot peppers here, and it was a very disappointing experience. I understand the store is under renovation, but that is no excuse for the quality of produce I received. More than 50% of the peppers were spoiled the very same morning I brought them home. Compare this with fresh, local hot peppers I’ve purchased elsewhere – they stayed firm and fresh in my kitchen all day without issue. On top of that, I called and texted them about the situation and received absolutely no response back. Don’t waste your time trying to reach out — they clearly have no interest in addressing customer concerns. It’s clear that the wrong peppers were picked, and this should not have happened to any customer. I regret giving this store a chance and would not recommend buying produce here based on my experience.
Smiley Food is the WORST person to do any business with. Her customer service is BELOW ZERO! Based on my transaction with her, her intergrity is questionable and she needs to go get some training on CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do any business with her and be ready to get stressed out.
The prices at this store are reasonable and fair compared to similar stores. I ordered via their website and the process was smooth. All the order notes that I included were fulfilled. The delivery came as scheduled; no disappointment. The store also refunded me on the same day, for unavailable items. The store owner is quite polite; when there was delayed response or concern about the order, she was apologetic and made efforts to remediate quickly. The ordered items were neatly packaged and delivered. I totally recommend this store for your purchase of African groceries.
Shopping with Smiley has been hassle free and convenient. Delivery is timely. Items are well and neatly packed and products are fresh!! Catfish o, Turkey o, they all come in fresh! The highlight is the note. Whatever note you drop in your order is read and worked on. Amazing! Highly recommend.
I got my orders of fresh proteins today and it was on point I wasn’t disappointed or dissatisfied at all. I sure will place more orders with smiley foods….they are the best
I still maintain the website needs to indicate minimum order is over $100 excluding shipping for Torontonians. You live in Mississauga and I live downtown Toronto. Edit: According to google, my location is 25/26 mins drive not 40 mins as indicated. You're offering that I go to your website and pick more items, I don't even know if this constitute as a red flag. I haven't ordered from you before and you expect me to order in bulk when you have a No Return Policy, lol. Also, what's the point of a $15 shipping fee for the order if you can't fufil?. Anyways, your business - your choice, so I'm out.
