I call this store to inquire if it has "Chief Seasoning" in stock. The woman that answered says she is very busy right now in an unpleasant tone. She is not doing us any favour..in fact she just lost a wholesale customer.
This is the second time I am buying very bad(spoilt) meat - beef from this shop. How can someone drive all the way to KAF Africa Store to buy rotten/spoilt beef. You can’t imagine the inconvenience this has caused me. The first time this happened, I told the woman in the store and all she did was apologize but this time around, I am so angry. Not only did I waste my time, I wasted my money and resources. I had to discard a whole pot of soup because the meat was so so bad. Not advisable to buy frozen meat from this store.
Worst customer service experience. Visited the store today and even the most basic service of simple courtesy was a tall order. I showed the woman (whom I presume is the store owner) that there was a water spill on the counter and I needed to place the items for purchase. She snapped back that I should put the items elsewhere, I let it slide. After picking all our items for purchase and paid, she refused to put our 4kg bag of gari in a plastic bag saying there was no bag for it. I insisted that she put it in a similar bag like the other items we bought, which she reluctantly did and it fit just fine contrary to her claims. Her attitude is borderline rude/non chalant which is surprising for a business that interfaces with clients.
Customer service is terrible. I called to ask if they had chicken in the store, the owner said yes, and i asked if it's the big cartoon of chicken cause i haven't bought chicken there before. The owner actually said ' I'm tired, whatever', i was shocked and very upset. If not for the fact that i live close to the store and i needed to buy chicken urgently before my next meeting i wouldn't have gone there again. customer service is appalling.
This store has a variety of products, however, you don’t have enough space to walk around and everything is clustered up. Also, the owner could be dishonest about the shelf life of some products just to make a sale. The customer service needs to be greatly improved, receipts are not provided on purchase and the calculations are done manually which gives room for error. It’s simply walk in, buy whatever, and leave. I won’t recommend here except you’re pressed for time and have no other options.
Nice place to buy African foods, you cannot satisfy everybody. You can find virtually everything you need in this shop as per African foods, her smoked cat fish is the best in the country, (The passportchefs brand) with a reasonable price. I will definitely recommend this store to those who love to have value for their money.
Long due. I stopped going to this shop because I found out last year that she always over- charged me. It happened several times until I started to be on the lookout and she did it again. Hopefully she changes her payment system and people can see what they really pay for.
