I recently visited Halton Auto Service & Transmission in Mississauga to get an issue with my Subaru Crosstrek fixed. Chris was incredibly helpful and did a great job diagnosing and resolving the problem. The service was professional, efficient, and fairly priced. I appreciated the clear communication and attention to detail — I left feeling confident about the repair. Highly recommend!
Quickly diagnosed the issues. Unfortunately they are terminal and too costly to keep the old beast going. They treated her with dignity and respect all the way to the end. RIP Ford van. You served well.
I was on a road trip from alberta and needed to get my transmission pressure sensor replaced as I found out. I was verbally quoted around $800.. ended up being over a $1000. I was surprised $200 more but paid it and continued on my way traveling. However when in the USA the transmission issue reoccurs again and managed to limp back to calgary. I contacted the repair shop in mississauga. They said to send part back for their reimbursement of part that failed from the supplier. Anyway when got the part replaced in calgary and even all transmission oil change ( which the other transmission shop did not do because of extra cost) to my surprise it was only $600 and change. The difference of $400 is quite a bit. Seems like quite a difference in price with getting it fixed again because of the part that failed. I did get reimbursed for the $600 and cost to send part back to them as proof. Be careful and check around for a repair cost to save a few hundred dollars. Interesting Chris phoned me to change the review and however no reply from the owner. Only if you have a good review may get a reply. Not good business practice.
Excellent service as usual. Chris is very helpful and always available. Dan gives great service as well. As long as they are in business I will continue to use their services.
When it comes to transmission work they are very good but also pricey, not expensive but pricey. I wouldn't go there for brakes, or anything else though. The shop is clean and presentable. The guys at the front desk are really friendly. I got my clutch replaced (I brought my own) and the car feels great. They did a great job with the transmission. Now the bad news, in my case they had to disconnect the brakes lines to get to my transmission. When I went to get my car it was a bit past closing so most of the people left. After leaving the shop I tried coming to a stop at the traffic lights and it took more effort to stop the car. Some air probably got into the lines when they disconnected the brakes and they didn't check/ bleed them. But the transmission works great though.
First Visit: they fixed my transmission issue in less than a day. i initially took it to my mechanic who was trying to fix it for the past 5 weeks. Halton Transmission did in 1 day what my mechanic couldnt figure out in 5 weeks. Will definitely come back to Halton Transmission. Second Visit: im back! I came back to these guys for another issue and they were able to fix the sensor issue within a few hours. They didnt have to wait days to get the part like my past mechanic. Definately will keep coming back!!! :)
