I’m a frequent visitor to this thrift store. Despite its small size, the store offers a surprisingly wide selection, and I almost always find something worth purchasing. Generally, the staff are friendly, but I had a disappointing experience yesterday. When I approached the checkout counter, it felt like I was interrupting a personal conversation between the store manager, Sarah, and a teen staff member with red hair. Neither of them greeted me, and I was met with what felt like glares rather than a welcoming attitude. Sarah folded only two of the shirts I purchased then stopped as soon as the receipt came out, leaving the rest of the clothes in an unfolded pile so that she could return back to her conversation, while I was still at the counter. I understand that chatting with coworkers is normal, but when a customer is present, attention should shift back to the job. Taking a brief moment to acknowledge and assist a customer properly isn’t asking much.
Super overpriced compared to the other Salvation Army and other thrift stores. I even found an item that was higher than the original price! I could literally get it new for a better price! How is this even possible? Their baby / toddler section is also tiny. Barely one rack. Don’t waste your time going here - better go to the Salvation Army Store on Dundas.
I always donate my clothes here, but whenever I'd come back, I'm disappointed to find them only 50% off their original price once they're put on the shelves (overpriced). However I did get a nice deal on a good-condition bike here once. They get nice sportswear here, but many of the women's blouses just have to go. The employees are always congenial and polite.
I used to shop here all the time when my kids were young. Over the last few years I think they’ve gotten confused and think they’re The Bay. Items are sooo expensive. You can get brand new things for the same price. My daughter just came home from there looking for a Halloween outfit…one jacket she wanted was $60!!! Really! There are actual people in need and these stores are supposed to accessible for them..not a cash grab.
They take pretty much everything and reward you with a discount coupon to buy from them. Friendly volunteers, but don't just dump the donations and wait for someone to accept them.
Nice store in the middle of Streetsville Mississauga. It's been here for a while now. This area is picking up with tourists and is an awesome place to be. Stay safe out there my friends and please be kind to one another!
Very good store with lot of choices in clothes, cutlery and crockery. Since I am their subscriber so it's good they always send me mail about sale and its details. Like this time I got 30% discount
