I've been seeing Jay the Tax Man for 5 years now. He is very knowledgeable but he's also very intelligent in applying that know. He gives me the best tax strategy for me and my family as opposed to just plugging in numbers like H&R Block or like an accountant. Jay is a tax specialist and tells me what is my best strategy: I told Jay that I will replenish my RRSP to the max and asap. After I bought my first home, I'm thinking replenishing the $20k I withdrew from my RRSP as soon as possible was the best strategy. Jay gave me 2 strategies that were better in my case. We decided on his 2nd suggestion and he saved me money and time. Jay is able to tell me on the spot how much refund each strategy will yield; whether to claim now or defer till next year or whether my spouse or myself should claim this amount. He's pin point accurate and knows the strategy to maximize my family's return. I also told all my friends about him and like always, most ignore or neglect but 3 actually made the effort to see him and now Jay is their Tax Man So, in short, go to the Tax Man and not an accountant. It was in a critical time when the CRA had audited almost every return I submitted.
