Went to return spoiled cream cheese and they wouldn’t accept saying there is nothing wrong with it although the mold was clearly on it l, taking my business elsewhere, they did all of this over $6 been a regular customer there for over 3 years
Went to the Mona fine foods earlier this september. I had visited the butcher shop at the back, very friendly and geat people. Meat quality was good too. However when I went to go pay at the front, a hidden fee was added. I had only purchased 2 items, yet a third item was mysteriously added? Such a shame, would love to go to the butcher again but will not come due to the actual storefront!
Love this store! Always the friendliest service and has all the middle eastern treats and food I need. A new butcher is there and the meat is great. Love supporting local and the family is great. The wife is very sweet and is always welcoming and giving my kids treats. Will always shop here.
I heared about Mona when I arrived first to Canada more than 11 years ago, but today was my first visit to them I grabbed some banana (that was old and brownish) and headed to the cashier to pay, the lady told me that I will have to pay an extra CAD 3 if I pay with debit!!! I informed her that I will pay with credit, she said that in this case I will have to pay a minimum of CAD 10!!!! Really? This is 2025 and they were supposed to be an established business Anyway, I returned the bananas bag and left without buying anything, and will never return there The only reason I am giving them 2 stars and not one, is that the sales lady was smiling
I always find everything I need as an Arabic grocery with different kinds of products. They have good vegetables and fresh baked goods too, which is a great bonus! the staff are friendly and helpful.
I found so many Egyptian products there — like kahk ( كحك العبد ) , petit four, ( بيتيفور ) and El Abd biscuits. They even have roumi cheese ( جبنة رومي ) and other Egyptian cheeses. I picked up a mix of stuff that’s really hard to find anywhere else in Canada. Loved it
Don’t recommend this store at all! - I picked a package of bread, the cashier asked me to pay in cash since it’s less than $2, and she charged me 50c extra to pay by card! - came home and noticed there’s no expiry date on the package. Opened it and smelled/feels old/stale bread! How these types of stores are legally active?!
