Expansive park tucked away in old Mississauga adjacent to UofT Erindale. The Entrance is barely noticeable on Dundas. Ample free parking. Newer washrooms facilities by the parking lot. Lots of shaded areas to setup a picnic and or utilize the picnic tables available. Even the green areas around the parking lot lends itself to a comfortable picnic.Lots of walking trails, some over creeks. Lots of space to run, play catch, throw a football, kick a soccer ball around, etc.
Awesome Park to be at. Lots of parking but can get real busy on holidays or weekends. They also have open BBQ pits, and a connected trail along the river. They also have a pretty decent kids Park, no splash pad tho. Overall, fun for the family. BTW, there's a secret Hill in the park and people usually fly kites there
An enormous picnic park at Dundas West in Mississauga. This park is so popular among the picnic lovers that although there are two huge parking lots, it is difficult to get a parking spot on the weekends. There are several gigantic picnic areas where plenty of groups of people can enjoy simultaneously without disturbing the other group or being disturbed by anybody. The other major attraction is the Credit river. You can see people walking along the river on the track parallel to the river. The site of man and women trying their luck with fishing tackles is very common. An excellent place for visitors, picnickers, nature lovers, and fishers.
The park is really beautiful. There is a gorgeous river running across the park. There is a shelter that you can reserve for a big group of people. But you have to plan and reserve ahead of time like at the beginning of the year or so. There are portable washing son washrooms as well. There is enough parking spots but on a busy day it could be a problem.
This place is awesome! I've been coming here for many years. I love waking with my dog and feeling like your up north. It's great all year round!
