I was a guitar student for this school. My guitar teacher Mr. Santiago was very supportive of my guitar journey and Judy was very understanding of my schedule and circumstances.
I have been a vocal student at the Wandering Minstrel music school for the past 3 years. I have had great experiences with the vocal teacher Bohdan and I have learned a lot about singing techniques, different genres, and working on gaining the confidence to sing. I highly recommend Bohdan as a teacher for anyone who is starting out in their singing journey or even if you are an experienced singer looking to expand on your skills. He is very approachable and prioritizes students' progression while also allowing students to share their creativity. I have also had wonderful experiences with Judy the director. She truly cares about the students and making sure the school cultivates a good learning environment. Additionally, she is always flexible and accommodating for peoples' schedules. I personally had many times where my work schedule was erratic, but Judy has always been understanding and would work with me to help make time for my lessons. She truly goes above and beyond for the students. Overall, the Wandering Minstrel music school is a great place for anyone looking to start vocal/instrument lessons. Everyone is extremely welcoming and ready to help you reach your musical goals.
A wonderful school, with great instructors. I was paired with Santiago, as a beginner in guitar. I enjoyed his patience, teaching style and energy - every lesson was filled with many tips and tricks to improve overall technique and understanding of musical theory. Judy is very nice and very flexible with scheduling lessons. If you’re considering learning guitar I highly recommend!
This is an amazing music school that teaches people of all ages. The instructors are very detailed and they truly show that they care about their students. I reccomend any musician or aspiring musician to take some lessons to refine their craft or learn some new skills!
An easy 5-star rating. My son, 13, has been attending the last 5 years, learning to play the acoustic guitar with Andrew. Andrew is a caring, patient and thoughtful teacher - one of many at the school. Every lesson is accompanied by notes and tips and something new to work on, which has worked to keep things fresh! Great location as well - Streetsville! Enjoy a coffee or a gelato in the neighbourhood while visiting, or stop for lunch or dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants. Rates are more than fair, and Judy - the owner - is very flexible about re-scheduling missed lessons.
I have taken various lessons with the school. Judy is a breath of fresh air to work with. She’s always accommodating! I had to flip through many teachers over the years and each and every one of them was very knowledgeable and helpful in teaching me through these years.
Terrific music school for guitar lessons, piano lessons and singing lessons in the heart of historic Streetsville. The place is filled with musical staff and students seeking instruction on their own instruments. Professional singers come to learn the art of singing along to piano and guitar melodies. I felt like everyone in the joint was already YouTube famous or could be if they tried.
