Unbelievable service. Brought my 1995 Fender strat Plus in for serivice because Long and McQuade couldn't do the job. They said it was out of their skill set. Main Steet Music did it perfectly in a couple days. So glad I found this place. I will keep coming back here.
I've been taking the piano lessons from main street music since Jan 2023. So far my experience is great. The instructor is very patient and talented. The environment is very friendly.
Great service and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot. Three other places said my guitar couldn't be fixed. Now it sounds better than ever! Thanks guys! I'll be back. Highly recommended!
Drove 30 minutes to find out it was closed during their posted business hours. Looked through the window and realized we weren’t missing much anyway...
Very upset over the fact that my prepaid lessons were rescinded as they switched Database Systems and they could not retrieve a record of how many lessons I had left.
The one time I tried to go there, they were closed. It was during their regular hours but they had a sign on the door as to why they were closed and an apology written. I don't remember the reason given but I know that the reason was good enough that I sympathised with them. My review is based primarily on their website and the lack of attention that it receives. To me, NO professional website should ever have a selection button that takes me to a 404 error, especially when it's just a link to another part of the same site, it's sloppy and shows disinterest and/or a lack of expertise. These are both things that NO business ever wants to project, even by accident. I was very interested when I heard that they promote Canadian-made instruments but I was a bit disappointed when I saw that the only guitar line from Godin that they carried is Seagull. Now, don't get me wrong, I think that Seagull is the greatest brand of acoustic guitar in the world (and that's including Taylor and Martin) but I prefer electrics and they have no Godin electrics, which is the only brand I buy (I'm Canada-proud, what can I say? LOL). This is purely personal preference because they obviously have the big electric names like Fender (and Squier) and Gibson (and Epiphone). The thing is, EVERY guitar store carries those names so the fact that they have them is only par for the course, not a reason to be considered impressive. If they do carry Godin and other electrics then their lack of attention to their website is even more tragic because who knows how much business that website has lost them? This is the 21st-Century and if you're not making sure that your website is amazing, you're doomed, end of story. Now, having said all that, I'm sure that it's a good place because it has been there forever and I'd go to them before Long & McQuade for sure. However, their lack of a decent website is the reason why I went (and am quite happy) elsewhere. If they fix their website and/or make it more complete, I'll add a star.
I've been taking lessons from strings attached for 6 years and I have learnt an incredible amount of stuff from my guitar lessons. I strongly recommend that for anyone who wants to take lessons they go to strings attached. The teacher I had was Brian who is exceptional, but everyone there is great.
