I cannot say enough great things about Stephanie. She came highly recommended by one of my friends and for good reason. She takes the time to speak with you about your expectations and does an assessment of what would flatter you most. Stephanie takes her time and doesn't rush you out of her chair, and you end up with the most exceptional results!
I was looking for advice on a new hairstyle as my regular barber would only cut as asked. Took time off work, trekked all the way to Avenue Salon, only to get zero advice or suggestions, as they had agreed to over the phone, and an uneven haircut for twice the price! Very disappointed!

Lorraine gave me the most amazing highlights and balayage. She was attentive and listened to what I wanted . She achieved what I asked for. On top of that, we watch Canada vs. Belgium fifa Game ?. The whole staff was super nice !
Negatives: from the beginning, booking was very uncoordinated. I wanted two simultaneous appointments, one women's cut+color and one men's cut...correspondence about booking was done over email and they reached out to me over phone when there seemed to be issues with the appointment date, which was fine. Even after confirming with the staff THREE times (once during booking, once over the phone, and once when I showed up for my appointment) that I should have TWO appointments booked, they only booked one appointment which was very disappointing and inconvenient with our plans. All it all, they forgot to book the men's cut appointment and it came down to a miscommunication between the booking staff and the stylists. I'm not the type to make a stink in public but I was quite disappointed. Positives: My stylist, Jessica, was understandably stressed because of the booking error. However, she kept up a positive attitude and did an amazing job on my hair, going above and beyond for me, which I really really appreciated and I was still very happy to leave a well-deserved tip. I can see why this salon is one of the best in Mississauga. I understand that things might be crazy opening after COVID lockdowns, but...after spending a couple hundred $$$ on my hair I would have liked at least an offer to make up for the error ? I hope the staff can smooth out the process and include a little more communication with the hairstylists. I'd suggest asking for more details from the client about the state of their hair and what they want so as to get a better idea of how long things will take, and book accordingly. For future clients, I recommend being as clear and detailed as possible when booking your appointment. The stylists are very good at their craft though and it's clear they take pride in their work! It was just a shame part of our experience was soured.
