For someone who has cats, Lisa is one of the best dog people I know! She's certified, knowledgeable, thoughtful, considerate & caring towards her clients (both the dogs & their owners). I have a beautiful German Shepherd. His previous owners made sure he was well trained but they mistreated him. As a result, he's 90lbs of fear-aggression + GSD protective nature + teeth when confronted by people he doesn't know. Lisa knew the best way to approach him and they become comfortable almost immediately. Her interview process, the questions she asks about the dog & household means she has all the info she needs to provide the best care & safest handling, ensuring the happiest clients. The bonus has been that, thanks to Lisa's gentle approach, my dog is more trusting of strangers & friends who come into my home. Lisa has made life so much easier, not just for the convenience & care of my dog but also for the relaxed atmosphere now that he feels safe around other people. Words cannot even express how much I appreciate Lisa and Vanessa for taking on walking my boxer puppy Willa. They were instrumental in helping to get her potty trained as a puppy. Prior to meeting Lisa at DogGoneIt pet services, I had a longtime and wonderful in home pet sitter who unfortunately retired. I had two little fur babies, one of which was requiring a tremendous amount of palliative care and the other, well a little rapscallion rescue kitten. When Lisa first met the two of them, the care and compassion from her was sincere and heartfelt. My old girl Lola would need a tremendous amount of support and I knew right away that I would be comfortable leaving her in Lisa's very attentive and compassionate care.
