Good selection of back issues and lots of other items for collectors. New issues and knowledgeable staff and a welcoming environment. A good place in every way.
Massive, and I mean, massive selection of modern comics with a few bronze and silver mixed in! You could spend hours sifting through the endless drawers and boxes of comics. There are even specifically filled with incentive variants!
I love this place I’ve been coming here ever since I moved near the area and the owners are very welcoming and are always willing to help me when I need to find a comic the place has a huge variety of comics ranging from the Golden age to silver age of both dc and marvel and they always have new releases from the get-go would recommend this place to any comic book fan!!!
WOAH!!!! Talk about an inventory of comics. This place has loads and loads of comics available at decent prices. I only wish they had more copper age and Silver age comics. We searched through tons of comics, which are stored in huge pull out drawers. Sometimes, the drawers were difficult to open and close due to a design flaw. However, I did manage to find some CONAN comics I was looking for. Dave, the owner, is a very nice guy and was willing to give me a great deal on what I chose to buy. 95% of the books are modern, which I don't collect, and it was time-consuming to rummage through all those to find the few vintage comics I came across. I only wish those were separated from all the new stuff and had a drawer of their own, which would have saved us a ton of time. Overall, this is a great location, especially if you are a modern comic collector. We showed up late and never had the time to get through the DC stuff. Perhaps another day.
So happy with finding the comic books I was looking for all over Toronto! Service was awesome! The guy working there was very nice and helpful! Everytime I cme to Toronto I will from now on stop by!
Looks like all these good reviews must be from the owners themselves because when I walked in there they did not welcome me all I noticed was the owners spying on me like I was going to steal while they played with their pup around the store. It is either that they have no manners or are simply racist.
I have been buying items from Altered States since they opened! The two owners (brothers) are super nice and super knowledgeable about their products! Update, they no longer sell hockey cards due to their greedy distributor.
