I’ve never met Moana, who works in the office, but I regularly deal with her over email to place my orders. She is incredibly on top of things—attentive, quick to respond, and always provides detailed and helpful replies. She makes the ordering process so seamless and enjoyable. On top of that, the quality of the meat is outstanding. Highly recommend!
My Wife and I have been ordering from them for the past couple of years and the product quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding our expectations every time. I highly recommend ordering your meat from Rowe Beef Co.
Consistent. We have ordered multiple times, and the steaks/poultry/pork is predictable. Good quality for the price. The Bacon used to be ridiculously good and then it was switched out on us suddenly/without warning. Was not thrilled with how that was handled, but the food quality except for the bacon has remained high.
Please be careful when ordering your meat at this place. I was picking up steak for my cousin and since they saw that I was a young girl they decided mix in a few strip loin steak even though we paid for ribeye. My cousin is professional chef at a high-end restaurant so he notice the difference right away. Not going to order here ever again.
Ordered (order #1900)the Miami short ribs, 5 vacuum packed bundles of ribs in the box, one package had the vacuum seal compromised and the ribs were spoiled. Twice I have reached out to Leavoy Rowe and not received a response. I will spend my money elsewhere!
So far I've ordered twice and had great experience both times. Overall I've found the cost similar or a little lower than grocery stores unless you only buy sale items. But what stands out is the packaging, individually wrapped steaks, 1 pound of chicken tenders, packs of 4 chicken breast. It makes it easier than buying in bulk (when on sale at grocery stores) repackaging yourself. As long as price points stay similar, I'll be continuing to order from them. The quality of the food so far has been great! Update - Oct 17 2020. Prices have gone up considerably since I ordered last. The value is no longer there. Will buy elsewhere.
I have been buying meat from Leavoy Rowe since 2008 when I was introduced to the company for a hockey fundraiser. As far as I am concerned they provide the best, most consistent product in the GTA. I have read some reviews on here and find them very amusing, so let me chime in. Some people say they are more expensive than grocery stores. Is that accurate? Well, yes and no...but why? Well, that is like saying a Ferrari is more expensive than a Kia. Well, duh...of course it is, it’s a Ferrari. Hand crafted 700hp and made with detail and attention. When you buy a Kia, you get a perfect fine car that can get you from A to B, but it certainly isn’t a Ferrari. Most people would never complain that the Ferrari they just bought was more expensive than a Kia, yet some complain that low end (USDA Choice quality meat found in grocery stores) which not dry aged, is cheaper than Dry Aged USDA Prime beef. That makes no sense. I only buy dry aged AAA beef, or Prime or Wagyu from this company. By in large, you cannot get that quality in a grocery store and is almost CERTAINLY NOT dry aged. What does that mean? My understanding is that this company dry ages their product in-house. That means they have hundreds of thousands of dollars of meat just sitting in their fridges waiting to be “ready” to be sold. That adds cost, but more importantly it adds tons of flavour and tenderness to every piece you get. Every order I make comes individually vacuum sealed and as long as I spend $300 or more, is delivered FOR FREE!!!! The care to the product is pretty extraordinary. The second thing to be said about price is that all meat is a publicly traded commodity. The company doesn’t set the market price on a product, so if you are complaining that the price went up from last time, it simply means the commodity price on meat went up across the board. My most recent order was: 1 box of chicken supremes 1 box of skinless chicken breasts 2 boxes ground Turkey 1 box Dry Aged Striploins 1 Tomahawk Steak 1 Pork Butt The moral of the story is I find that the type of product they sell is high end. If you don’t appreciate the finer things in life, you should probably stick to grocery stores. I have referred all my friends who enjoy top quality meat or fine dining and I have never heard a single complaint. So, if you want top quality meat, look no further.
