I travel all the way from king city to get this meat I buy a whole side, ground beef and sausages and especially beef tallow. I love the taste and how it’s packaged and pretty well priced. The team is super friendly and I love getting presents when I go lol. Will always be a customer!
This is the only butcher shop I have known and gone to since I was a kid growing up in Port Credit. My mom used to shop here A LOT. Especially when my parents would go away fishing for two weeks. They have excellent choices of meats and very, very delicious. I've known Ali and everyone since the late 80's/early 90's and this will continue to be one of my favourite butcher shops to shop at. Excellent quality meat and a huge selection of hard to find game meats. The service is very friendly and the shop is warm and inviting. They offer a nice selection of other items such as deli and cheese, highly recommend popping in if you’re in the are and need great quality meat.
I only eat meat so I was happy to find this place after a long search. I got my steak supply and tallow from them a number of times and I always go for the less aged cuts they have because I get a very bad allergic reaction to aged meat. They are aware of this. On my last visit I also asked many times whether the cut I was taking was not as aged because it was dark and was assured by the shop owner that it was around a week old. I got the worst reaction after eating it and it’s the same reaction I get every time I eat aged meat. I couldn’t work the following day and still felt sick and had pain days after. I called to speak to the owner and explained what happened, he replied by saying that next time I should let him know a day in advance so he makes sure I’m not getting aged meat. I trusted them with my situation but was let down and no compensation was offered to maintain having me as a customer.
Been going to this butcher shop since mine closed down 9 years ago. I've tried other butchers closer to me and was not thrilled with the quality. Than I stumbled upon this place. This place is top notch when it comes to friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ali and Kevin are amazing at their craft, they can get whatever product you want and prepare it as desired. Susan's baked goods are delicious. Everything is fresh and price wise, it's not cheap however you get exactly what you pay for. You can't expect to buy a steak here for No Frills pricing with their quality. I've recommended this place to everyone I know for high quality proteins. AAA grade indeed. Try the in-house seasoning for your protein, you will not be disappointed.
My dinner party was a hit all because of Elmwood Meats…I personally am a vegetarian and with the amazing compliments from my guests about the French cut veal roast that Ali prepared for me, I was almost tempted to eat it myself! I also appreciated the clear instructions and suggestions on what to serve with it! Highly recommended.
Best butcher shop and food market in Port Credit and possibly in Mississauga. More expensive than the supermarket but much, MUCH better quality and service. The chicken breasts are cheaper than most supermarkets and are way better. Ask for them seasoned for less work and amazing flavour. The rib steaks, burgers and other meats are great as well. I haven't had anything I wasn't amazed with. Very friendly and helpful staff too.
