We had a great experience viewing the apartment with Whitney today. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and made us feel completely at ease. She answered all our questions thoroughly and gave us a clear picture of what it would be like to live in the building. Whitney made the whole process so much more comfortable — we really appreciated her time!
Update: a year since I’ve wrote this review Skyrise has put a lot of effort into keeping the building clean. THANK YOU to the cleaners. Your work has not gone unnoticed. Also shoutout to my fellow residents who do their part to keep the building clean. Skyrise is quick in addressing any cosmetic renovations. Ex: someone punched a hole by the entrance and it was fixed the next day Now for the cons… There has been an increase in fire alarms. In December we had about 10 that month. Management sent out notices and it still happens. Obviously whoever is doing it doesn’t care. It’s extremely disrespectful to residents. Please add cameras and chargeback the culprit. It’s disrespectful to the firemen as well as the building is taking away resources from real emergencies Security is still a large concern. The homeless man is usually seen in the winter and goes elsewhere during the summer. There is homeless woman that now lives in the stairway. Either hire a security guard after hours or implement some changes. Please. There is enough money from all the rent increases. Here is a solution since Skyrise hasn’t done anything to address it. -FIX THE GARAGE DOORS. The one directly linked to the building doesn’t close. The main garage is constantly open and people walk down entrance since they’re too lazy to use the stairs. So it’s no wonder there are characters that trespass in our garage or stairway -ADD MORE DOOR CARD READERS. Add one to the side door by the garden. On P1, fix the buzzer and add a door card reader at the door across. Or move the buzzer on P1 outside like 2560/2520. Strangers end up lurking in the stairway or sleeping in the corridor during the winter because there is no lock to keep them out. -MAKE THE CORRIDOR AT THE NORTH ENTRANCE SMALLER (match it to the size of the south entrance). The corridor should actually stop where the front admin entrance is located and build a door there with the buzzer. This way, theres a smaller space and no strangers can go lurking into the garage if they so please. It is not the residents responsibility to be viligant and ask a stranger who they are visiting. Residents are already feeling unsafe, why would someone risk addressing someone and potentially getting assaulted? The other neighbouring buildings have less security issues. It’s only Skyrise that keeps running into this and they’re still not doing anything about it? Very Disappointing. They deserve one star until I see safety is addressed. *** I’ve been living at Skyrise for at least 2 years. Overall it’s one of the better apartment buildings. However things can and should improve. Pros: -Your unit is clean once you move in -newer facilities -management is timely with addressing major repairs in your unit. -in a nice convenient location -overall quiet neighbours -overall positive experiences with staff Cons: -way too much litter EVERYWHERE. Garage, elevators, staircases, outside on the grass. (The trash cans aren’t even that far away). I’ve seen Dog owners not pick up after their dogs multiple times. Do not step on the grass around this area -rent is at market value but it does not include hydro, water and parking -parking: you will see multiple cars parking all over the place where it specifically says No parking. This leaves driveways absolutely cluttered and you at risk for a fender bender when trying to enter or leave the garage -safety issue - to echo the last review. It has been brought up to management’s attention multiple times that a homeless man has been living in our garage and lobby. Once it is brought up, you are essentially gaslit into believing that he is harmless and they can’t do anything so deal with it. While I understand the sticky situation , that is not the way to address a valid concern. As residents, we have the right to feel safe in our own homes. There are multiple ways to show that they value resident safety. (Ex: additional cameras, contract ON-SITE security for after hours, locks at the front entrance, etc.). An email isn’t enough. DO BETTER SKYRISE
I checked online for sky-rise regarding the rental units, called for inquiry, management was super nice. Right now they do not have availability for October but i might get through in future. The only thing is they do not have any wait list. :)

A great start to my life at Canada. With Walmart and other essential stores nearby, life get easy. Coming to administration people at Skyrise, Carmen is a lovely person you can meet with. It was no surprise that every other review talks about Carmen on their reviews given that she is very helpful and welcoming all the time.
From the day I started living at this condo, the experience I had was dismal. I had no one to help me, the condo manager at the time was unbelievably rude and unhelpful, and honestly I did not understand why I was spending so much in rent to live there. Enter Carmen.. when I say she is amazing, there are not enough words for me to explain. Over the three years I rented at Skyrise, over the various situations I needed help in, Carmen went above and beyond, out of her way to help me where and when she could. It is not often that you come across someone in a customer service role who was so amazing that even two years after moving out of Skyrise, we still have the fondest memories of her. Thank you Carmen for being one of the only reasons I remained a long time renter with Daniels. Skyrise is so lucky to have you!
