Magic happened to me with doctor Cao Lei!! I had sciatica pain for over 6 months since this January. This pain was 100 times worse than any body pain. I was suffering day and night. Not even one position could make me feel better. Had to take pain relievers time to time. I was in depression. This pain totally took my life away from me, left me in deep depression and trapped in my house. I am so thankful for a friend giving me doctor Cao contact. I reached out to her but I didn’t really hold any hope inside me. Just three times with her, I felt my pain was a lot less. I was with her for seven time. Now my pain is totally gone! Magic happens. She save me with her professional knowledge and medical skills. She heeled my body, bring me back to my life again. I got my first consultation and accupunture session for my shoulder pain. The treatment is comfortable but I don't have any result. If you want to claim your insurance, make sure your insurance covers this clinic. My insurance said this clinic is delisted and my claim is declined. *Update* From the owners reply, I think they confused my file with another patient. My accupunture session was on April 13, 2024. My insurance from Equitable Life declined the receipt this clinic issued for my accupunture session and consultation ($189). The reason is this clinic is delisted on their health professionals list. I think the clinic commented that all the insurance companies accept them is not accurate.
My family members and I have been coming to Lei Cao for a number of years for various ailments. We were hesitant originally to try yet again a new clinic but we needed effective help and kept searching for what would work for us. I am a patient of Dr. Lei Zhang. I am very impressed with her treatment. I have been going for physiotherapy and massage for years for my pain management especially my right elbow and neck. But with Dr. Lei's treatment (accupunture and cupping), I have so much relief especially in my right elbow, neck and shoulders. I would highly recommend this place. Dr. Lei is very friendly and I love her approach.
The best decision of my life was to start acupuncture treatments with Dr. Lei Cao, she is a phenomenal professional and the best acupuncturist you will ever find. Last year I have developed a crippling illness which literally got me down to my knees, I went from being a very healthy athlete who used to run at least 3 to 5 miles every day and did High intensity workouts plus lots of other sports to being a person who could not exist without strong opioids and nerve pain medications. The doctors were not helping, they were not giving me any answers, I was getting worse and worse by a day and they told me I had to wait a year to see a specialist. But I did not give up and started to study scientific articles, I found out that I have Interstitial cystites and, outside of diet and lifestyle changes, special supplements, yoga etc, acupuncture was highly recommended. I found out Lei Cao and she helped me heal IC. Unfortunately I was left with hypertonic pelvic floor muscles after months and months of inflammation. Once again, doctors did not help at all. I went back to this clinic and visit after visit I am feeling so much better. I am back running and living my life, I am enjoying every day to its fullest. It's been tremendously hard work but it truly paid off. And the biggest life saver is Dr. CAO. She is nothing short of miracle. She saved my life and I'll be forever grateful to this wise lady.
Update: Was called by management and upon trying to figure out a way to come in and obtain a partial refund (since they require you to be there in person with a booked appointment and I no longer live in the area), I was yelled at by the male manager! My colleagues could hear his raised voice as he was talking to me over the phone. He was upset by my review and insinuated that it was my mistake. Really? Should I have come in to my appointment and brought a timer with me? It is not my fault that the reception person did not communicate to the therapist that I wanted 30 mins. Honestly, to put the blame on the customer and then yell at them? Pathetic. And the fact that this happened twice!! Seems like an easy way to scam people. I will not take down my review and my family and I will NEVER return to this location. I do not recommend this location to anyone. Original review: They really need to improve on communication. Went in a few years ago for a 30min massage. However, they told me that I should do acupuncture so I said fine. They forgot about me in the room with needles in my back and then charged me for a full hour + for a consultation that I never wanted in the first place. I was too shy to say anything so I paid. Decided to give them a chance again and went in for 2 massages. The first one was great, I really liked the lady. The second one, they kept the massage going and an hour had almost passed again! This time I spoke up! Though I wanted a 30 min session I got charged 45 mins!! Don't go here especially if you are a student. They don't respect your wishes and always try to upgrade you. I blame management.
