Unprofessional, and Manipulative – A Disappointing and Costly Experience with Billah and Associates My experience with Billah and Associates was, unfortunately, both unprofessional and manipulative. Right from the start, things felt off—our initial meeting was set at a Tim Hortons. While I understand some professionals operate without a formal office, meeting at a coffee shop for a financial consultation didn’t set the right tone for what should be a trusted, confidential service. During that meeting, he handed me a free pen and shared how he knows all the strategies and that his college roommate is a high level employee at Revenue Canada—implying he has insider connections. The actual work he delivered was disorganized and careless. Shockingly, his plan was to file late and miss the tax deadline altogether—something I’ve never experienced with any accountant before. Despite having paid in full, my file clearly wasn’t a priority. It was a last minute scramble with him not verifying my documents. He admitted to being overwhelmed with too many clients, but that didn’t stop him from taking on more and charging full fees. The delay resulted in penalties I had to cover—penalties that could have easily been avoided had he been honest about his capacity from the outset. Communication was inconsistent, and at times, he was dismissive. He is unprofessional and terrible to deal with. The rushed service, paired with premium pricing, made the experience even more frustrating. Financial services should be grounded in professionalism, transparency, and reliability. Unfortunately, I found none of those qualities here. I am still trying to resolve the problems he has created. I would not recommend Billah and Associates to anyone seeking trustworthy, accountable service.

Naeem was very thorough with all our returns, including our older children. He spoke to the CRA on our behalf, to clarify any problems or concerns we had, during Covid, with late returns and job loss, etc. We had to find an accountant quick and he was quite willing to help us out. We read the reviews about his company, and now we can do that for him also!
Naeem is my hero! Our old accountant had suddenly passed away and our returns were late, so I did some quick research on a Sunday night, to try and find an accountant nearby that could take us all on: my husband’s business account, our own returns, our 4 oldest children and my mom’s!. He answered my email immediately! Wow! He also taught us a lot of things that we didn’t know. He was very careful during Covid to follow all the procedures too. He answers any questions we had quickly and could speak to the CRA on our behalf! He’s Superman!

I have tried Ufile and Turbotax in the past but was very frustrated with the lack of depth and support in the DIY tax services. Made the switch to Mr. Naeem this year and I was very impressed.
