Lack of transparency and uncomfortable checkout experience. There was no physical menu available, and the QR code ordering system didn’t work properly, so I had to ask staff to come take the order. An 18% tip was already added before any service was provided, and I was put in an awkward position to either accept it or edit it while the staff member stood there. For a simple breakfast wrap priced at over $21 before tip, this felt unnecessarily pressuring and not customer-friendly. Clear pricing, functional ordering, and optional tipping should be standard.
Denise was a WONDERFUL server!! She was so attentive and helpful. She made great conversation but was always very prompt with her service. If we ever come back through the Toronto airport we will stop by and see if she is working!
We had Sumit as our waiter and he was wonderful. He was quick with the service and went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary requests. He was pleasant and lovely to chat with. Thanks Sumit!
You have to use a QR code to order. And we have done that before - so no problem…. Or so we thought … it turned out to be impossible. After trying both our phones without any luck, I went to the register so I could order and pay. But… you cannot do that … have to use the QR code. Then they told me that we should be on the WiFi… so we both did that. Still no luck. While fighting to get this going, two other couples left because they could not make it work. Finally a lady/server came by and said we could use an IPad the servers have… and that worked… So we got a very expensive drink and glass of wine after 15 minutes of trying to make it work. So not only was it almost impossible to order - but at least it was very expensive. The wine was fine, but the April Spritz my wife ordered was totally watered out. Not going there again.
Terrible QR code/ iPad system after 30 minutes of fiddling (You have to be on the airport Wifi and cannot use VPNs on your device - very unsafe) with their broken ordering system I ended up ordering at the bar. Wanted to use up my CAD change and pay the rest with my card. They said it's impossible and suggested another bar... No flexibility and useless technology.
Denisa Del Rosario at Vinifera located in the OTG airport is truly amazing. My experience was saved by her proactive and caring approach. When we encountered an issue with our dinner order, Denise not only corrected the mistake swiftly but went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied. Her dedication to customer service is truly commendable—she turned a potential disappointment into a delightful dining experience. If you find yourself at Vinifera, count yourself lucky to be served by Denise.
Kadine was amazing! So helpful, and made us feel so welcome! She made the time until our flight fly by. Made our airport experience so special! Would highly recommend finding her during my future trips.
