I had a wonderful experience with Henry Jollof. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. The offada rice was perfectly cooked — rich in taste and nicely spiced — and the service was fast and professional. You can really tell they put passion into what they do. I’ll definitely recommend Henry Jollof to anyone looking for quality and tasty meals. I’ll surely be coming back again!
After a terrible experience with uber eat with another Nigerian restaurant, I found Henry's on Google with a recommendation and the experience was excellent. Grace took our orders and everything was made with a spirit of great dedication and perfection. Thank you Grace for serving us good dinner.
I ordered Eforiro of 2.5litre and with the price of 150$ plus tax it was not worth it . I saw small pieces of meat and few dry shrimp as if that was not enough they added gizzard to my soup, with lots of sodium upon I called the customer service and told her specifically not to add too much sodium and oil. This was an insult as I couldn’t serve it to my guests. Henry’s Jellof is the worst naija cuisine
I've been looking for a good Nigerian restaurant and went to this place last week Thursday and Friday. I first went to the Fewster location on Thursday and the darkskinned lady was not welcoming. I got egusi and pounded yam, and jollof rice. I initially wanted okro soup and she went inside and told me she was making it, that it would take a while, then some minutes later came out with it and it looked quite watery and didn't fill not even half of the black container. I told her I didn't want it and then asked for egusi soup. She goes back in the room and then comes back with the egusi soup and it's also barely half in the container. This idea of going into a room to serve the food isn't my thing as I'd like to see my food served in front of me. I also asked for jollof rice, which I could see on the counter in front of me. The egusi soup turned out to be really spicy, and the jollof rice was TOO oily and didn't have any taste. The meat inside the jf tasted quite old/bad. I thought maybe the food at the Dundas location would be better based on the reviews and decided to go there to next day. The woman there had a low cut and she said I could tell her what I wanted from the menu. I got okro and pounded yam, puff puff, jollof rice, moi moi and some drinks. She went inside the "Staff Only" room to prepare them, so I sat a while. Again, not a fan of not seeing what's being served for me. When she came out everything was packed but I opened some to check. I saw that the okro soup was small and watery, and I did not see any big pieces of meat inside. I only saw some tiny pieces of stuff in it and wasn't happy about that. With other Nigerian restaurants I've been to, you're able to see the meats inside. I asked where the meats are she told me not to worry, that they're inside, which was a lie. I checked the puff and they were super oily, as the white bag they were in was in was visibly oily. I also checked the assorted meat that I paid $20 for and this woman had given me one bony and small bokoto, one very tiny beef, and a tiny piece she had cut from the Nigerian black fish. I was in shock. First of all, I asked for assorted meat, so why put any fish in there? Secondly, you don't have any conscience at all to have given me those 3 tiny things and charge me $20 for them. I'm so glad I opened the bag and container to check, otherwise I would've been ripped off. I told her I wasn't going to accept that and wanted my money back and she did just that. I didn't bother checking the rest but just left, and before I left she made sure she slammed the door upon going back to the "Staff Only" room. You tried to rip me off and someone still had an attitude? Make it make sent sense. I get home and let me tell you that everything tasted AWFUL. The okro soup was watery and again not even half of it in the container. It was also very spicy. It had only tiny beef in it and one tiny small tripe that tasted old, and the rest were these light, yellowish, funny-tasting fish from Nigeria. So there were only two tiny pieces of meat in there and the other little things in there were that fish. To think I paid $30 for this nonsense, smh. When I was paying I had told her the price wasn't up to that at the other location on Fewster and she told me she didn't know when l went there but the price had gone up since then. I was just looking at her like why're you lying? I didn't bother telling her I was just there the day before and let her lie. The jollof rice had way too much oil and was taste was tasteless. I actually had to throw it out, along with the jollof I had bought on Fewster the previous day because both were awful. I had read the reviews and people had said the jollof rice was good, so I was looking forward to that especially, but people are not being honest with these reviews because the jollof rice in both locations are awful. The moi moi was also horrible (beans not properly blended, fish tasted old) and had to throw all three out. If you're looking for a nice Nigerian restaurant with good food, this is not the place!
I work for Uber and DoorDash, went there to pick up my order. While waiting for it i decided to get something small to eat. They offered my snack size jollof rice with some pepper sauce and plantain. Omg!!! It was soooo delicious! This was my 1st time trying Nigerian food and what an awsome experience. I will be ordering from them from now on. The staff is super friendly and overall the atmosphere too. I'm so glad i found this gem.
I ordered from this restaurant on uber eats while visiting toronto. The jollof rice is 10/10. And portion sizes are huge. I’ve been eating my order for 3 days! Definitely recommend
