The settuping time were to much! We changed at least 3 headsets because they weren't working, I thought because of these delays they would have give us more time but they didn't. The headsets and games are so old probably for 10 years ago and the building is in the basement so cold and dark. But overall it was VR and we had fun.

Despite the recent reviews, I was just here, and I can tell that they have definitely put some effort into making changes for the clients and people who come here. There was no mildew smell, the venue looked clean and taken care of, and they seem to be building a new gaming area as well. I had initially spoken with the manager, and they explained all the prior issues to me and how since they don't own the space (they rent), there is only so much work they can do on their own. The majority of the work, has to be done by maintenance, which involves a lot of waiting (which I totally understand because I've had similar issues with my own place of work). I honestly think people also forget that this location is in a basement, and the building is already a bit older. So, although I assume many people have fun here, I think they get caught up in a lot of the aesthetic, sometimes. I don't know‍♀️ I do know I had fun, though.

We visited Mirage VR as a family yesterday, excited for an immersive virtual reality experience — but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The location itself was a major red flag. It’s tucked away in the basement of an old building, poorly marked, and frankly run down. The strong odour and visible mold made it uncomfortable to even stay there for long. It felt neglected and unfit for a place that relies on technology and cleanliness to attract customers. The equipment was heavily outdated and barely functional. The headsets and controllers looked like they were from the early days of VR, and the staff had to recalibrate the system multiple times just to get it to work — even then, it was glitchy and unresponsive. The graphics and games were shockingly old, more like something from the 1990s than a modern VR experience. The only saving grace was the employee on duty. She was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and genuinely tried her best to make our experience enjoyable. Her professionalism and effort deserve a 10/10, but sadly, there’s only so much she could do given the poor condition of the facility and equipment. Overall, Mirage VR feels years behind today’s VR standards. Despite the great staff, the outdated tech, unpleasant environment, and poor value for money make it impossible to recommend. Save yourself the frustration and look for a more modern and better-maintained VR venue.

DO NOT RECOMMEND Don’t know how they have this high ratting on google. 4.6?!!! A joke. Staff was friendly and that is the only reason they got a 1 star. Place itself deserves minus 5 stars. Equipment was broken, some had duct tape holding it in place. More than half the play time is them setting up the stuff. From the entrance stairs carpet being stained, paint peeling off the walls, mildew smell in the air, obvious signs of water penetration on ceiling and walls, bathrooms falling apart (men’s toilets don’t have seats on them).

Please read this before booking honest review: The games are fun and the staff is nice and helpful which is why it gets a 2 star but I was definitely disappointed with my experience. I brought my boyfriend for our one year anniversary and we were the only ones in the place which made it seem abandoned facility seems dingy it definitely does not hide that it’s in a basement. They cut off ur time exactly at 70 minutes but they use up 40 of those minutes setting up the equipment (which isn’t in very good condition my headset was broken) and fixing faulty games and teaching us how to play by the time we learned the controls and I found a fun game time was over I barely even got to play. If they are going to include set up and tutorial time in the allotted time the time slots need to be higher. And the free roam gets a one star from me as the graphics were terrible and the experience was just 15 minutes with barely any free roam I think the farthest I went was 3 steps in each direction!!! I was shocked when I saw this place has a 4.7 stars it should be closer to a 3.5. Definitely not worth 50 dollars per person i recommend looking around and finding another facility that actually cares about guest experience as judging by how there are many similar bad reviews the quality the owners clearly care more about profit then guest experience Update: manager reached out to me regarding a refund and another experience on the house to make up for the previous bad experience, the only condition being I remove my review and I responded soon after I was emailed and said okay … and it’s been almost a month and no response back and no refund. A MONTH!!!!!! Which just proves my previous review that this place just cares about profit. Please book elsewhere for your VR experience I beg you!!! I’ve dropped my rating down from a 2/5 to a 1/5

Had an amazing time at Mirage VR! The space is super spacious and well-designed, making the whole experience very comfortable and immersive. They have a fantastic collection of VR games—whether you’re into action, puzzles, or adventures, there’s something for everyone. A big shoutout to Connor, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. He explained everything so well and made sure we had a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish. It’s a perfect spot to hang out with friends or even go solo for some exciting escapism. Highly recommend Mirage VR for a fun and unique outing!

Decent location and nice hardware, nice staff and easy sign-in and setup all spoiled by janky games. They need to try a bit harder for that last mile. We did the group activity; the individual experiences may be nicer, but we didn't try them.
