Absolutely wonderful! This library is huge and fantastic. It offers countless spots for studying, and the self-study rooms are plentiful and incredibly quiet. It's very convenient that visitors can get the Wi-Fi password via text message. U of T truly lives up to its name—a perfect place to reflect, study, and enjoy the scenery.

I really like this library; great space, great atmosphere but the one thing that drives me crazy is the paid parking. Back when I first moved here as a permanent resident, I was trying to get settled, studying for certifications and exams, and just figuring life out. During that time, I ended up with a bunch of parking tickets just from trying to use the library. Honestly, it feels a bit ridiculous that people who come here to learn, whether it’s students, professionals studying for certifications, or just people who want a quiet place to read, have to pay for parking. There’s tons of land around the campus, so it’s hard to understand why every spot has to be metered. A few years ago, there was actually a free parking spot near the entrance. I used to park there and just walk about 8 minutes to the library. When I came back about two years ago, that area had been metered too. So yeah, that’s my only real gripe. Everything else about this library is great but the parking situation definitely takes away from the experience.

I’ve downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. This library is genuinely one of the best places to study if you have little ones at home—my concentration always improves here, and the front-desk staff are wonderful. Thank you to the university for providing such a great space. However, there’s a recurring hygiene issue: many students put their shoe-covered feet on the desks and chairs. I mentioned this to the helpdesk, and while they were polite and understanding, they said they can’t take action because they aren’t allowed to police student behavior. I genuinely encourage the university to implement some basic etiquette guidelines (e.g., reminders not to place shoes on study furniture). This simple step would significantly improve the experience for everyone.

Great place to study but the security guards are soooo extra like why are you confiscating my shawarma, I'm not a pig a won't make a mess. Very dramatic

I love the library but asking students to pay for parking is just cruel! There is so much land available and yet we have to cough up dollars for the parking, this is the only drawback. Other than that, it’s a great place to study.

Super clean with designated quiet areas. Though sometimes people still talk and it seems the quietness is not enforced. The building is super modern. Their wifi has issues during prime times when the library is packed. Other than that, the wifi works fine.

Very nice library to study at. Designated quiet floors the higher up you go, clean bathrooms on each floor, all around good environment. One thing I did not enjoy was that 10 minutes before closing, two employees would have a loud conversation near me to make sure I knew it was time to pack up. I made sure I was out before closing but did not appreciate this during my final minutes of study time. This happened 4 days in a row. I noticed the employees take note of where individuals sat to ensure proper sanitization for covid purposes. I was very impressed with this.

Thank you for your review! Although we encourage group study in designated spaces, we try to keep the quiet & silent study areas as distraction-free as possible. If you are finding other library patrons disruptive, please let us know by email, phone, or the chat button on our website.
